    Drop Waste Not. Seriously.

The best way of crafting is aiming at getting 2 Master Mends II and 2-3 Comfort zones while using every single good on ToT. Waste not is counter-productive, since using a ToT while it's up is just throwing CP away. Learn to love MMII and you'll see why Waste not is, in fact, a waste.

Edit: Also, IGII is a total waste for 4-Stars. It has such little impact that it simply does not justify its cost. I still have it on my bar but I think I've used it once when I had so much CP left-over for the finisher that it didn't really matter anyways.

    Ty all for suggestions!
Unless im wrong here, to reach that amount of craft, you gave up a CP meld somewhere. CP is probably much more valuable for crafting as the more of it you have, directly corresponds to the rotations available to you which often translates to more Hasty Touch attempts.

I have 463 Craft and I didn't drop any CP meld, altho I did drop some Control on Off-hand/body.

Actually, I have to meld the 5th slot on body and offhand. I assume i'm going to meld CPIII on body (since i put a Control IV on 4th slot) and maybe a Craftmanship I on offand. I still miss 3 CP because i'm using ehtcali gloves.

So much This. I was wondering how we ended up in this age old argument of do you use ING2 on 3/4 * Synths. . . since you still have WN on hobar. You should not waste hotbar slot on Waste Not!

I don't use IG2. For progress, I do PbP 2 RS and bait a good at the end with 2 CS2. None of my 4-star crafters use IG2. It takes a lot of fails to not get 10+ IQ stacks.

I don't like that method myself. I only need 1 ToT anywhere in the first 10 steps at the beginning to be comfortable with completing the synth. Everything else is gravy. I'm not saying it isn't a good method. Hardly. My main issue is that relying on both HT landing AND many ToT to keep the synth alive, seems like it leaves a lot more to chance than I like.

Why leave both HT and ToT to chance? If HT fails in both methods, the synth will not HQ. If ToT fails in both methods, only one fails.

When I use WN2, I never take a ToT unless it is between the SH2 and WN2 (since it makes no difference). Assuming I'm pushing quality the whole time, that's 7 steps for 98CP. As opposed to 6 for 160CP. That's a lot of ToT that have to show up. Or just ignore them. Get the 50% quality bonus with your touches.

You are right. I don't like getting to Step 50 either. Or, have you done that with your Waste Not method?
