While this is good advice, I just want to point out that the first time you start A Relic Reborn it begins in Vesper Bay from Nedrick Ironheart. If you repeat it for another job it starts at Gerolt. You have to have completed all your Job quests first.* Start the A Relic Reborn quest from Gerolt in North Shroud. This weapon gets you involved in a few trials and early postgame dungeons and eventually awards you with a really damn good i80 weapon that's easily upgraded to i90, and you can decide from there if you want to undertake the process to continue raising it past that.

I would genuinely advise it. Maybe even pre-50. If not solely because having people to shoot the breeze is great, but also because when you do level 50 content you'll find a lot of the time you're matched with people who've done it 100+ times. And while many will be entirely willing to teach, going in with a party of friends who are already willing to teach you can just make things smoother, giving you better time to learn what's going on.
Thank you, I always forget this.

Speaking of FC's is there a way to find one that suits your needs? Been thinking about joining one, but I would prefer a large one that is accepting of newer players and is aligned with Twin Adders. I keep getting invites like crazy as well and i usually decline them because I have no idea who these people are lol... one guy kept spamming me invites over and over after I kept declining even.
Well you can check your world's forums here to see who is recruiting. Else ask around/examine their profiles etc... In the end you won't know if you would enjoy it unless you join it.

Pushy FCs you probably aren't interested in; they're generally a crapshoot. Watch shout channel for people advertising for things you want - chances are you're not looking for groups that are listing Hardcore Endgame Raiding FC but rather more relaxed things right. And just remember, you can always leave if it's not working out.Speaking of FC's is there a way to find one that suits your needs? Thanks for the tips. Yeah not at all looking for something hardcore. I've done it in other games an ultimately I becomes unhappy and leave. Going to skip the formalities this time and just look for something casual with some more mature chill people that don't mind a newer playing putzing around.Pushy FCs you probably aren't interested in; they're generally a crapshoot. There is a way. http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/freecompany/. From here you can run searches on your servers FCs. It wont help you pick a FC but it will point you where to look for the right one.
As for GC alliance I believe it only alters teleport costs in an area. An FC at max standing will have natively cheaper teleports to that GCs area. It also drops the cost on bonus actions. There is no downside to being an Adder in a Flame or Maelstrom allied FC.
