Nero's fate discussion {SPOILER!}

All I know is that they would never have gone to the effort of having us/Jesus!Cid save him if he wasn't playing a part later, and I am super excited for this. I hope that he does take on the Vegeta-type role and continues to pop up here and there. Frienemies for the win. I'm kind of sad he decided to go on some soul-searching journey though. Think of what Eorzea could do with two competing genius Garlean engineers... And Nero has way better fashion sense; he should design our next gearsets. XD

Well soul searching is the first step to developing into a better person. He needs time to think what to do with his life now that he has finally learned his current path was only leading to his own destruction.

I kinda felt that the darkness on Nero had absolutely no purpose in story and was absolutely unnecessary. It could have much more space in the story..

I think it was meant to be a symbolism event to show how Nero's inner darkness that had consumed him for so long was finally lift.
