Have you tried repairing the install for Final Fantasy 14? Or even re-installed the game?Hey,
I've been having an issue for the past couple weeks which has been making my game unplayable.
Every time I'm in a dungeon, and most recently when I am teleporting, my game will freeze my entire system, requiring a hard reboot.
I've tried re-installing my drivers, installing older drivers, installing beta drivers. I've tried reinstalling; nothing has worked.
A friend of mine said he had similar issues. He solved them by buying a new graphics card, which I don't have the cash to do.
I checked the windows event log after the most recent freeze, and there were no errors at the time of the freeze.
I'm at my wits end with this issue. I can't seem to find anything online that matches my specific issue.
Thanks,
Tickle
EDIT: I forgot to add some information. I have an AMD Radeon HD 6970 and an Intel i5 CPU.
Might be having the same problem on my laptop. My desktop continues to work fine, but my laptop is now randomly crashing only with Final Fantasy XIV. It's managed like eighteen hours straight of the Heaven benchmark and various lengthy amounts of Diablo III and Dragon Age: Inquisition without any system crash. Final Fantasy, however, will randomly make the screen go black, audio stutter indefinitely, and entire system become unresponsive. After about twenty seconds of that, the PC speaker just beeps indefinitely while the system indicator lights by the keyboard flash. Have to hold the power button to turn it off. Laptop is using nVidia GeForce 580M cards. Perhaps something in a recent FFXIV patch is causing specifically our cards to crash but not others? My desktop is using nVidia GeForce Titan cards.
Update: It actually just crashed launching Dragon Age: Inquisition, too. So maybe it's just way more likely with FFXIV because FFXIV is played way more.
