We know Gold Saucer is coming next month! So I was thinking why can't we practice with our FC mates in our own house!
Having a couple of these tables in the house will surely liven up any household!
What say to all of you?!

If you are asking for a special card table (like the photo below) That sounds awesome! I'm sure they will add something like that in the future.
In the mean time, i dont think there is anything stopping you from turning any table into a group card battle!
So excited for the card game! I want more details on how it will work with the smartphone app and when that part is coming.

you would think something like this is obvious... especially since the item is already made (how much more work is needed to make it into a housing furniture at this point?)
however it will take the team a couple more patches to realize that people want it.
"Try not. Do or do not. There is no try."

While I like the idea, I can also understand why the team may not do this at first. It would take away reason/s for actually being at the Golden Saucer, something I'm sure took a while to design and create.
Well the the difference between Gold Saucer and the house would be:
1) Gambling ( house is there for practicing)
2) You can't obtain any cards in the house. ( assuming you can taking cards from people from winning) So you would have to travel around to collect them and if you lose cards to losing that can only be done outside of your house.
3) Not everyone is going to sit around and wait for you to finish up you play session with someone ( which they could play the whole day if they wanted too) so they would just go around somewhere else to play ( Golden Saucer/NPC in the open world etc).

SourceFINAL FANTASY VIII was an offline game, so players could only have matches with NPCs. However, now it will be possible for players to have matches with each other. With that said, players will not be able to take cards away from one another. Players will simply be competing to see who is stronger. Tournaments will also be held at the Gold Saucer, and there will be cards that are awarded to players who win a certain number of matches each week.
This really put my mind at ease about one of my concerns. Lots more information there in the Triple Triad section, good read. Hope this helps!
That's player to player. How about Player to NPC? Will we just get the cards if we win? but nothing happens if we lose?Just a little mention about #2.

It's in the source. It doesn't look like we lose cards, ever. And i'm happy about that.
We’ve prepared all sorts of methods of obtaining cards for FINAL FANTASY XIV’s Triple Triad. In fact, various NPCs around Eorzea play Triple Triad, and by challenging them to a match and winning, players will obtain cards. However, they possess a large number of cards, so it won’t be very easy to get rare cards from them. Players can also obtain cards in exchange for Gold Saucer points. Roughly two-thirds of the cards can be obtained by playing matches with NPCs and trading Gold Saucer points, but there will also be cards that drop from dungeons and other battles. At the start of Patch 2.51, there will be a total of eighty cards that are available. As new patches are released, new cards will be added, including cards with the same design as those that already exist in-game, but have different numbers in the upper-left corner.
Additionally, cards featuring the “Legendary” FF series characters from “Dissidia FINAL FANTASY” that were designed by Tetsuya Nomura will be obtainable in various places. A particular icon will be displayed over the heads of NPCs that can be challenged to a Triple Triad match, so one quick look will allow players to identify them. If an NPC has already been beaten by a player, the icon will change to a “defeated” icon, so players will know whether or not they have beaten a certain NPC before. There is an achievement that can be received by defeating every NPC that has this specific icon, but there are a few hidden NPCs above which the icon will not be displayed.
It only says " You can get cards by winning against NPCs) but I don't see anything about "if" you lose to a NPC you can lose cards from them.
However, I suspect no matter how you lose, you can't lose any cards. They should make a battle mode just for that kind of thing to "bet a card" and play the game.
