There is some validity to the OP.
The basis for points should be raised. Tag the mob get 20 points, reach the hate/damage cap get 40. Now you have a system the benefits full parties (full points) and solo players.
They want you to play with people in a massively multiplayer game.
So because you're not partied with someone you're not playing with them????????
I guess I need to tell all my friends that I've done things with while not in a party that we haven't actually been playing together this whole time. That much should be OBVIOUS. For example at a restaurant, the table next to yours full of people is not eating together with you or your party at your table (exception being some those gigantic families that need multuple tables). In short, just being in game together is not the same as playing together. So what was the question again?
Group rewards for group content requires a party formed by the group.

I feel like you misunderstand what group content is. If you think hunts are group content, you are wrong. That much should be OBVIOUS. Hunts are group content, it is actually group bigger than just 8 in a party. You have whole LS coordinating and calling out marks and which ones to go to first and people all scouting. And you can build alliances of parties for hunts to hunt more effectively and efficiently. It is totally group content. Early pullers are the trouble makers that deserve to be blacklisted and repeated trolling must be reported to the GMs. A well known FC actually disbanded and its trolls left the server because of the terrible reputation they earned.
Which is kind of the point Cutie was making. You can be in linkshells and coordinating with people and scouting out hunts with them, etc. That's group play regardless of whom (if anyone) you're partied with. So no, you don't have to be partied with people to be playing with them.Hunts are group content, it is actually group bigger than just 8 in a party. im on my phone so I dont know your level but I assume its below level 50 so I will teach you something.
SE dont like friends playing together so you can only queue up for Expert and Hard dungeon roulette in a group. The rest of the roulettes you must queue solo. So no you will have to leave the queue id you want to do hunts while waiting for it to pop and get full credit.
Peoples argument is that "this is an mmo ppl have to play together" but I see very few posts about hoe roulettes can mostly only be done solo.
