Proposal: a slight alteration to vote abandon

Had a WoD run on launch day where one person spammed vote quit for 10 minutes until people finally caved. It was obnoxious and we were only missing 2 people for replenish. This definitely felt like abuse of the system and I support the suggestion wholeheartedly.

I guess there is no cd currently. In that case I support some type of cooldown to prevent absurd spam (see tiggy post) like 5-10 min. But can't get behind a one and done hard cap. Popping it after every 10 min slow wipe in WoD isn't the end of the world. Getting spammed every 15 sec per tiggy ' s example needs to go.

Just make it so it shows who intitiates the Vote Abandon, similar to how it shows us who initiates a Ready Check. I guarantee you will get way less people haphazaardly choosing to abandon, when you remove people's ability to hide behind their computer. It will eliminate spammers too, because then the whole party/alliance can see who is the problem, and Vote Dismiss that person.

If someone doesn't like the state of the party/dungeon they should be able to vote abandon. Not without restrictions, but with reasonable restrictions. Your proposed restriction is not reasonable.

Seems perfectly reasonable to me when any party has several other people that can issue a vote abandon.

I think people should have to be more careful about when they issue vote abandon and not just throw it out at every little sign of trouble simply because the game currently allows them to.

Please address this, SE, since it's being abused pretty hard on some content now that the patch hit.

I was in a World of Darkness run on launch day, and someone kept shouting at the entire alliance and being nasty in general, and we had over 10 "Vote Abandons" throug out the run, until it finally passed when we were close to the second to last boss. All the current system really does is cause dramatics as people keep spamming this on runs they feel are failures, and players in general being confused about the mechanics of the game, as I've been in plenty of "groups" that do it after the majority of the party split, even in full premades.

While you're at it, I'll take a lump of coal and the option to mute or /blist people in alliance content, since I'm a naughty boy that wants his money worth out of this amazing game.

Both of these are important pieces of this. It's easy to harass behind anonymity. I see no reason why the person's name who initiated the abandon/kick vote shouldn't be displayed.
