Looking for a FC to call home

Greetings all

The name's Kai and I am thinking of transferring to Gilgamesh to call a new home after hearing many many positive praises of this server.

My free company transferred to Tonberry and I wasn't able to transfer along with them basically due to the issue of different timezone since I moved into the US for college and all that. And now, I am basically all alone with noone to play with (sad life i know ).

So about my character, I am a lvl 50 DRG with iLVL 95 who's familiar with all the contents up to patch 2.3. I focus on increasing my ilvl, challenging myself in doing insanely hard dungeons and the occasional hunting.

So, I offer myself to thou. Please treat me gently.. I may look old and tough but I don't bite :P

I can recommend Aureus Knights. We're one of the most active FCs on Gilgamesh, in the top 10 for 51/52 weeks last year, and often in the top three. We welcome all types of players, from casual to hard-core, newcomers to veterans.

AKS is more than just an FC. We're a community of gamers that spans numerous platforms and titles, staying in touch via forums and Mumble, with FFXIV our most active chapter so far.

We also do those things, though we're definitely not progression-focused.

Not trying to put any other FCs down, nor fly our banners higher than anyone else's, just putting our FC's best foot forward: we're consistently very active, not just a flash in the pan. We have a lot of members 'cause we're fun and helpful. Other FCs are also probably very fun and helpful, probably even including Hellborn Manta.

With 500+ members, they should be top 10 <<.

Steady, we only have 500+ members because our philosophy in AKS is that "Once a knight, always a knight" so we only discharge as need (512 cap) to allow new members to join and try to keep as many of the old knights as we can in case they should ever return. You are right though if all our 500+ members were active again we would be number 1 in standings each week. However, we keep within the top 5 so we do have a large player base which we are proud of.

I told them I didn't think it was fair, that I had contributed to the FC, even before launch, but due to some technicality I was being held back due to some red tape.

Yeah we don't really do this anymore. It used to be that the officers would wait until you asked to go on your trial for processing, now we normally just start new recruits on the trial rather than having them address us personally. Works out better and we're more about promoting people more according to time with the FC rather than when the recruit asks. Anywho enough with comparing d*cks, bottom line is a FC is what you make of it and I'm sure either is just as good as the other.
