I'm glad I waited for these patches to nerf older craft content.

I also use 4xRS and 1xCS2 with 451 crafts, interested to know if there's a better rotation with more crafts available so I can plan what setup to use. I'm not going to go for the 4 step setup though as I like CP food.
Btw, you can get the new GC crafting components for the Lucis tokens from Leves. The levemete at Saint Coinarch's have some for each class which give 3 of each material.
The levequest method looks like for every class you seem to always have up at least 1 leve with a lucis tool crafting material. Either the triple-turn in (3 materials total) or single turn-in (also 3 materials total).
Assuming no NQs on the actual token item, works out to 20 leves to get the 60 materials. Haven't seen any particular leve always give the item. For ARM, you could just zerg turn-in cobalt ingots (whether the reward is up or not).
Also, for the record, it is possible to have all 3 leves for a certain crafting job have material rewards. I have that right now on my BSM. I'd guess it would show up for other jobs.
Levequests seem like the best way to get the turn in items unless you're somehow swimming in seals and have no idea what to do with them. I spent about 20-30 minutes collecting 15 of the magicked oilcloths for mining. For some reason only 2 leves were showing up at once (maybe it was always like that...) so sometimes I had to complete leves that didn't give the reward, though now that I think about it I could have abandoned them I guess.
Also, in case anyone was interested you can hit the requisite 1% HQ on antumbral rock at fairly low perception. I was at 2% with 405 perception.
It wasn't very difficult for me to get all 4 new artisan gear items and i got it - for collection. And i found out that fully melded pre 2.5 gear items are better than i70 ones (crship+1, control+1, cp+1). So, i think that now it's better to have fully melded i60 artisan gear. i55 body... it's a question - full meld of 8 body gear items COSTS, but fully melded i55 body is better than i70 one.
Yeah, the cost of Craftsmanship 4 materia has shot up lately. I imagine a lot of people will be trying to put 3 of them on the Artisan body.
IDK, it seems like the most reasonable method would be something like 2 Crafts4, 1 Control4, then overmeld a CP3, and the last is just another crafts or control 1/2, depending on how "perfect" you want it.
That said, the Artisan Gown is almost as good as a "super-perfectly" (not possible) melded i55 body, but for every class.
So get the Artisan Gown. Get an Artisan Apron crafted, and wait for materia prices to go down. Or get an FC group together and SB the now easy to obtain I70 crafting armors in Hullbreaker Isle or something. Get your Grade 4 materias from there.
