Sorry, no screens. But if you don't skip all text you will eventually see them. At first I was like - wait, isn't that miquote actually male? They are Hyur+Miquote so it's interracial too. Well, at least not a lala and a roe, that certainly would have been weird. It really was a surprise and I didn't expect SE to touch such sensitive topics. I bet there are a lot of people who will be happy about it, though.

I believe the girl cosplaying as 1.0 Minfilia who was a vendor for one of the seasonal events specifically referred to her wife. There's also plenty of other NPC dialogue around referencing same-sex partners.

Took me a while before I figured that miqote is a guy and not a girl. Pretty cool move SE, pretty cool.

Just out of curiosity, is it in the main story quests or the hildebrand quests? or something else like delivery moogle quests? Because if SE made it too subtle, it would probably go right over my head, and I don't want to accidentally miss it.

Its the unlock for wanderers palace hm. They even mentioned being kicked out of their home. I noticed immediately when he says "isn't that right, love"

It was actually confirmed even way before ARR - from the very beginning of version 1.0, the first thing that greeted a new player starting in Ul'dah if they happened to be female was a miqo'te girl 'lady of the night' who would try to proposition them (and seemed quite disappointed that you couldn't 'afford the coin'):



Then there was the female miqo'te Path Companion who was clearly bisexual as well (in that she openly flirted with female players yet also mentioned she enjoyed male company as well).

So yeah, Eorzea is a very open-minded place when it comes to sexuality, and seems to have always been.

I understand the significance of this. It's good that SE is open-minded. But as a gay guy, if I have to hear(or read) one more person say, "Hey, Elim. Did you see the gay couple? I'm so happy for you." I'm going to...*flips table*
