I really wanted to make my Paladin look like Link, I had it all ready but I can't get the hat right, the Botanist hat would suffice but I can't, which is annoying as hell.
I get this whole "image" thing, but its ultimately flawed and only hampers the ideas of players, not everyone has this problem, but its very frustrating for those who do.

Welp!
Now people can legit run around in their underwear with this new patch ... but I guess the apologist are still gonna Say that their immersion stays in tack because a caster can't wear tank boots and a tank can't have the coolest Jackets (seeing as they're almost all sucked up by Bard/ DPS).
Yeah. At this point they should just consider dropping the job restriction altogether. Makes less and less sense with each piece of glamor/event gear added.
I would even be happy if I had to use a Glamor prisim per slot it takes up.
Didn't read the whole thread, so apologies if the suggestion has already been made, but...
The soundest argument against segregating gear by job is because it's hard to recognize what you're up against in PvP, correct? Particularly since players have the option to hide their weapon when not drawn. Why not put the player's job icon next to their name in PvP (or, heck, out of PvP as well)? This doesn't sound as though it would be a tremendously difficult-to-implement change, and would allow players' jobs to be instantly identifiable regardless of what they're wearing (or not wearing).
Glamors don't work nor show in PVP content.Didn't read the whole thread, so apologies if the suggestion has already been made, but...

Huh, well definitely changed since last I did it. Used to be if you showed up in front lines with glamors on it did not show. The more you know.
Anyways, outside of pvp, does it really matter? If you're just strolling around and see someone in a glamor set up that doesn't match what we might think a tank/mage/dps should look like it really has no bearing on anything. In a party during a dungeon, raid, or otherwise just look up at the party roster.
im sad i cant glamour the fighter's set onto all of my gear
it just looks so warm, and snuggly~~~
in a brutish kinda way~
