"pls square, we has 2 new DPS classes, and no other tank or healing classes since release. we NEED another dps, and it NEEDS to use the gunblade, because squall5eva and lightning totally uses a gunblade"
Kay. Maybe later.

i dont see why letting a MCH equip a gunblade to augment the job from a ranged class to a melee class would be a problem. If there are cross class skills it will change from brd to gld
"Try not. Do or do not. There is no try."

Because a Machinist isn't skilled in sword combat lol. Sword-wielding DPS has been mentioned a long time ago, and my best speculation would be the gunblade since it is one of the most popular sword-wielding weapons.
lightning's weapon is not a true gunblade, its just a transforming version with gun mode and blade mode, but not including the vibro-explosion rounds found in squalls
the point I atleast am making is that i want a nontank sword wielder, as drk is already coming as the next tank, so my weapons of choice are deadlocking me from enjoying anything but open world because i dont care to tank, and an rp group to let me derps with my sword is out of the question due to shoddy skill options(riot will burn us out in no time)

oh yee with little imagination... what im talking about does not even exists... every job would have 2 different weapons, each changing the way you play them (you know because people want some options) but basically keeping it the same. say like whm with a staff or mace, drk with a scythe instead of a two handed sword, blm with daggers... plenty of old school FF combos to pull from. Anyways Mch with a gun blade instead of a ranged gun... because the way this scenario would play out is you would go "learn" how to use a sword >.> then incorporate it into what you already know about guns.

Are you talking about just cosmetic or a whole new set of skills on hotbar?oh yee with little imagination... what im talking about does not even exists... every job would have 2 different weapons, each changing the way you play them (you know because people want some options) but basically keeping it the same. say like whm with a staff or mace, drk with a scythe instead of a two handed sword, blm with daggers... plenty of old school FF combos to pull from. That's a bit far-fetched compared to what i am asking for on this forum lol. Multiple different types of weapons for each job is an interesting idea, but i don't think Square Enix will ever do that, or anytime soon that is.oh yee with little imagination... what im talking about does not even exists... every job would have 2 different weapons, each changing the way you play them (you know because people want some options) but basically keeping it the same. say like whm with a staff or mace, drk with a scythe instead of a two handed sword, blm with daggers... plenty of old school FF combos to pull from. Seems like roninoftagrm actually understands the concept from where i am coming from. =)

I support this, the gunblade is my favourite weapon, FF8 is my favourite FF, I was disappointed when I found it wasn't available in the game from the off especially after seeing it in some cinematics, so I'm hoping it's added soon.
