JP bookstore told me over phone they don't have... orz

If I order from the store gonna take at least a week so dunno... online is about the same also unless they send individually, most of those send in bulk to the local stores in US then distributes from US to domestic so it takes time.

The classes are too similar right now, there's a difference between customisation and everyone being the same because all the skills are virtually identical.

I'm all for a more rigorous structure to allow people to do what they want whilst maintaining some boundaries. Take guild wars 2 for example, they're pretty restrictive on the number of skills you can pick, but there are various opportunities to customise and design your own builds etc.

I think the issue he has is the lack of actually being able to wear whatever you want since they are beginning to limit certain gears to certain classes. I think a good remedy to that would be to create a new gear list of "town gear" that you change into whenever you go into town. Since when you equip armor it doesn't leave your inventory I feel this would be easy enough to pull off.

As for the aspect of unique classes though I do agree that it did turn out that you are either a Marauder with Pugilist skills of a Pug with Mar skills. Basically you are either specialize with an axe and use staple abilities or you H2H with staple abilities. Though with the release of "jobs" it should give it since it will limit what abilities one can use and even grant access to new ones.

Though overall what would make jobs more interesting would be if every class could use any job they gain and have then have generic abilities and "main" abilities learned. Basically a Lancer DRG would be able to use Jump, Leap and High Jump but any other class use the "job" DRG would only be able to use leap.

Though until they actually give us a true taste of the job system it's hard to say how it'll actually go though hopefully they will make THM a RDM instead of BLM since they did seem to mention that had WHM and BLM planned for the job system though with the abilities THM makes it doesn't really make sense for them to be BLM.

You'd think we'd be able to communicate with the JP forum and stay in touch with one of us through IM/email for the purpose of scanning & translating. Must be hard convincing someone to go through that trouble since nothing is in it for them?

That's kind of hard + scanning everything and giving info to wrong people might end up with copyright problems and all that. Last JP interview post with the guy posting info for us got in trouble since he almost posted the whole thing on there... what he did was nice for NA + other region players (+me too lol) but he got bashed by stupid trolls in the JP thread saying he should get reported and get punished etc... was stupid what the trolls were doing but felt sorry for the guy.

That's one major problem in the JP forums... rather than talking about the game FFXIV they get into all these other problems about their real person status, or by revealing their character level, name it's going to give bad rep in the game and would make them quit, leave the game... Really just want to tell those stupid F's to shut the F up and enjoy the game and post your honest responses instead of being scared to post what you feel about this game in these forums without hiding your identity (game char) 2CH famous for bashing people who post journals in Lodestone also, they also used to bash players in HNM linkshells back in FFXI days.
