The one thing that's sad with the token system is that everyone can Need on them. I have a friend who's been trying to gear up his Paladin for quite a while now, but every time he's run Snowcloak (which was the first of the expert dungeons he unlocked), the others -- with i100+ as their lowest gear -- keep Needing on the gear when he still had some i70 and even one i60 piece. In the end, he earned enough soldiery/poetics from his Snowcloak runs to buy himself better equipment, but that doesn't really make the frustration of always losing out on gear upgrades because high-geared people "steal" them when they don't seem to even need them. (Though sure, they might be upgrading alt classes or levelling desynth, and if you look at it from their PoV, that low-geared tank/dps/healer in your group might be deliberately using lower gear than what they have available to guilt you into not rolling...)

To be fair, it's easier to get the pieces you need when you have one gearset competing only with crafting ingredients, instead of one gearset competing with crafting ingredients AND all the other gearsets you don't need. And the probability of crafting mats seems to have gone down compared to last ex dungeons (the Divine sets). But even with that, there are still far too many runs where you end up with crafting mats as your only reward for the dungeon (or crafting mats and one accessory -- most likely of the wrong variety).

If you want to guarantee drops, make a premade and discuss drops before starting. Going into DFs with randoms and expecting them to bow down to others desires? Or you could ask before, many, if they dont really need will pass. How can they be "stealing" stuff when it doesn't belong to anyone? If I need stuff to desynth or hand in for seals I have as much right as anyone else running the dungeon.
