Am I doing something wrong, or is this just the worst RNG luck ever? (quick ventures)

Quick Explore is the way to go, yeah, you will get a lot of crap( Moraby flounder, Riviera bench... seriously, did you go explore the fc house next door?!) but it's nice when you see beladian silver or mog whiskers etc coming back, or they bring back lvl 55 gear so you can replenish your ventures. it's a luck, just keep at it.

I feel like I am swimming in the damn dyes. If it's not dyes, it's either fish or materials that aren't worth anything.

Well, I've been through over 198 and no dye, but I've gotten other good things... Mog weapons, etc.
Honestly, who cares?

dat RNG - I have like 6 pure whites, 6 golds, 8 jet blacks... then 30 silver dyes that I wouldn't use.

Mostly just interested in the white and black

On the off chance after I upgraded my DoW retainer I sent him out on e quick venture and got two pots of metallic silver I used one of them on the Kirimu Coat for my Bard looks lush, but after that I haven't see/got anything good from him.

Since my last post I've got Jet Black and Pastel Green dyes from the same retainer that I got my metallic silver from.

While i'm aware that the quick explorations are random in their rewards, I find myself rather too frequently shouting a tirade of abuse at my screen when my item level 107 retainer consistently returns with the most basic items available. And to SE, that retainer is not a fisher so where the hell do they get all the bloody fish from? Are they mugging npc fishers?
