Anyone else use a Fantasia and immediately regret it?

True, the only problem with that is that you can't see what your character looks like in all of your existing gear beforehand. Prior to using the fantasia I spent a long time (too long) working on a hyur but when I logged in and tried on all my gearsets it just didn't look right.

It's jarring enough if I change my hairstyle. I don't think I could do that to King, changing her race.
If I want to play around with races, I have retainers for that.

I guess I got lucky because I am 1000% satisfied with the character I created and couldn't imagine changing her looks. In most games I end up going back and tweaking things later (if the game allows it). I haven't even changed her hairstyle yet, though I may change her to the Rush Sykes hair on Tuesday.

Man, Riaa's been the same so long I'm honestly scared to change her. Tried to give her a haircut a week or so ago and everything just looked.... weird. She's basicly me now, so I'd probably have a crisis if she changed until I remembered I have a extra fantasia.

That said, I might try Au'ra when they show up, but it's more likely I'll roll a alt instead. What's one more, after all?

I've used like 23 fantasias and my character right now looks exactly like she did when I made her in beta. Different hair color, though! I have a problem

I did. When I changed from midlander male to highlander male. But not because of the looks, it was because of the running pace. I know all races need to run at equal pace for game balance, but it just bugs me to no end that bigger bodies run at the same pace, making it feel like they're walking on the moon or something. For the same reason I deleted my Roegadyn after playing it for only about 6 hours.

Thankfully it was the Fantasia I got for pre-ordering, so it didn't really cost me a lot.

Personally I think Fantasia is cheap enough for say a change every half year or so, but changing races without a name change bugs me too...
