Anyone else use a Fantasia and immediately regret it?

So I've been sitting on that free Fantasia potion since I got it and the other day I was bored so I decided to change my appearance. I logged back in, ran some dungeons took a couple of screenshots and then pretty much realized I didn't like the look and that I was going to be changing back to my old character ASAP.

It was really weird for me logging in and seeing Domino Dayspring and not the character I've been using since 1.0 beta.

Anyone else run into this? Can't see myself ever changing appearance again, even when the new races are made available.

LMAO, this exact thing happened to me last night. I thought I wanted to change from my midlander back to miqote, so I bought three Fantasias, changed to a Moon Keeper and ran my Expert Roulette. After I finished the roulette, I was already itching to change back. So I did.

Nope. Then again, my change was gender only. I went from male Miqo'te to a female but with the same coloration.

Well ok, I made the skin a bit darker, but that was something I'd wanted to do for awhile anyway. ^^

I'll probably change again at the expansion when we get Au Ra. Those males, rawr.

Every time I've used one. I always get the urge to go back when I start playing with the new look / race, but after a day or two I adjust.

I have, and I've bought fantasias just to tweak minor details. But there's been times when I logged in and played for a while and then realized I just wasn't feeling the changes. You can choose between different areas with different lighting effects, between day or night, and twist your camera around to different angles while in the character creation screen, but sometimes the only real way to tell if you like the results is to see your character in action or in all its current glams, etc. in game.

I've changed from a Miqo'te, to a Lala, to a Roe and finally to a Hyur in the space of 4 days.

Gonna have to wait a while to change again haha

I've never immediately regretted my decision, but definitely have over time. I've gone from Hyur > Lalafell > Hyur > Lalafell > Hyur > Elezen > Hyur.

I tend to get bored of my appearance after a while and race change, but then as I play, I realize I'm uncomfortable seeing Kye as anything but Hyur. I wanted to try Lalafell because of their cute factor, but I couldn't take my character seriously so I changed back. My FC then decided to go all Lala, and I must admit it was hilarious seeing eight Lalafells tackling Coils. All eight of us sitting in North Shroud waiting to enter commanded an adorable presence from those around us. But then when I would play solo I would find myself with the same thoughts I had before being a Lalafell. Eventually myself and FC all returned to our original races (I made the switch first so I called them my seven dwarfs).

It was then, after some time, I tried Elezen. I really loved my Elezen, despite my FC's constant teases. But at the end of the day I like being shorter than most, and being one of the tallest in my FC (and general population) made me uncomfortable. What became the final straw was being in a ST with basically all Miqo'tes and Lalafells and I towered over everyone, even as the shortest Elezen possible! So I switched back to my Hyur. My dream race would be a half-breed Hyur-Elezen, so I could potentially keep some Elezen features (such as pointed ears), but have a more Hyur frame. The proportions for pure Elezens are unfortunately awkward to me.

I have developed this image of what Kye looks like. Despite deviating from that image time to time, I always return to how I originally saw Kye.

This is why you make burner characters on under populated servers. I have regreted changing a look before, but never have I dared doing it to a charater I actively play without testing on a quick 1-15 speed level character first.
