As a Tank, I like fights that punish players for over-focusing on dealing damage. This is because a good majority of DpS focus on dealing as much damage as possible and not actually on learning the fights.

Tank and Spank bosses are not interesting.

Playing a job to it's fullest potential should be rewarding, not punishing. There's no "challenge" in just putting your weapon away and doing nothing because you're too good at doing what DPS are supposed to do: damage.

If your DPS can't turn around to go kill the adds they've got problems beyond "too good".

I wish that the playerbase wasn't so lazy that they recognize that disrespecting fight mechanics in favour of facerolling is a bad idea and should stop being bad.

Snarkiness aside, any group worth their salt should recognize when's a good time to push phases and when to hold back to prevent a potential wipe from screwing everyone over. Priority and control take precedence over a lack of judgment. The fights are fine the way they are. If anyone has trouble with them, that is a problem they can correct by being more attentive. Please do not ask for nerfs to fight mechanics when the issue lies with the players having a lazy mentality and making stupid mistakes. Why ask SE to unnecessarily decrease the difficulty of the content when all the players have to do is buff their own skill? The majority of the mechanics in each fight are easy to learn. There is no excuse for people not to pick them up and respect them.

A "good" DpS has mastered the rotation that does the most damage. A Great DpS knows when and where adds will spawn, when mechanics starts occurring and how to deal with them, what abilities can and should be interrupted, how to avoid or mitigate AoEs, and deals enough damage that the fight does not break and cause a wipe.

DPS who ignore adds are a lot like healers who only heal the tank and nobody else. There may be times that it's the right choice, but it's not 'good' if it causes the group to wipe.

I've seen way too many melee DPS that want to throw "one more punch for max DPS!" in before moving away from Thunderspark or get in position to avoid Shiva's icicle circles or move to a bud to get away from Rafflesia.

easy fix, ilvl sync, even easier if they make it tighter than what they're reintroducing to 2.5.

Phase 3 of ifrit ex might cause wipes because on too much dps (only DoT) and tank swapping while dps are killing nails..
But then again, fight like moogle hm needs this simply killing king without killing any if the minions is simply broken..

As long you got the DPS, you can just kite the adds in Pharos Sirius until the boss is dead. No adds killing required.
