I do hope we get some answers from him before we get shot through the heart...

My suspicion is that we'll get our answers after that shot through the chest. I think that was a forced echo from the wyrm lord, with the battle with him actually ALL being an echo. Note that he and the dragons in the fight all have that ethereal blue aura. Given that he's looking to be the main antagonist of the expansion (based on the logo) he should be well beyond our ability to fight at this point... but an echo would be a fantastic opportunity for some exposition and a teaser fight for the real thing later on.

According to the MNK storyline professor whena person, especially one that died horribly/with a strong will, a bit of their aether remains in the world and can more or less manifest as "ghost" and/or crystals.

Seeing Midgardsomr died in the aetherial center of the world it's not surprising that his "ghost" is present and we get to fight him

Not sure at all. As I said, it's just a suspicion. Iceheart received an echo from him though and it caused her to turn on her own people and summon Shiva... Whatever revelation he has to offer it seems to be important so I'm expecting we'll be treated to the same echo when we disturb him. There's currently nothing in the trailer to indicate Nabriales is even present at the Agrius' wreckage; he seems more intent on Tupsimati.

As for the logo, we don't have specific confirmation that it's Midgardsormr but it is a serpentine dragon; look closely, his body is coiled in the logo and the wings are identical to the Keeper's and very distinct from those of any Dravanian we've encountered.

Maybe it is more serpentine than I saw, but still not Midgardsomr. The head is very different. M has long tendril like moustaches, and fins. His head looks quite like Leviathan's. Makes a lot of sense if you think about it, he is the guardian of a lake after all so he has to be at least semi aquatic.
