    My first thought when I saw the Aetherial Wheel was that giving FCs an item that is used to collect aether is an interesting possible first step toward an certain FC thing that would, I assume, use a large amount of aether...

    Nice find. I assumed like most here that the wheel simply frees up company credits that will no doubt be diverted to crafting, but yes, Aether can have several uses.
