Not only that, look at the new achievements! These two in particular:

Enough Expository Banter ------- Defeat ??? at ???.
Secret Ascian Man ------------- Defeat ??? in ???.

There seem to be two separate mystery boss fights, the second of which is almost certainly an Ascian in our mystery trial. The first is probably Gilgamesh or something linked to Hildibrand.

Yeah, Secret Ascian man is pretty telling. What has me perplexed is the one above. It is a very overt referece to Gilgamesh, but why bother with the ??? Why not write Defeat Gilgamesh at Battle in the Big Keep? Is Gilgamesh posessed by an Ascian?

It may be to do with Enkidu. They've dropped a lot of very explicit hints about the 'true' Enkidu's return but haven't outright said it anywhere yet even though everyone knows it's coming. I'm guessing we'll be fighting both of them at the same time, in which case the achievement conditions might spoil the side story a little.

I would say it's much more likely that the trial does not end with defeating Gilgamesh. We likely have to defeat Enkidu or something else when we change location entirely.

Though yes, the English notes also have a number of errors, so it may just be a typo.
