If we got rid of everything that wasn't "needed" the game would be in a worse state than when it was released. This feature definitely should be implemented. The whole system of how the game deals with items is flawed anyway. Try opening a faction NM chest with a full inventory for example, or doing a quest like CRP 30 and unexpectedly getting an item reward with a full inventory. Not so much a problem now but inventory used to be a huge issue. It's all in the category of making the user experience better, something that always needs to be considered when developing a piece of software. If it isn't, people stop using it.

Now first of all let me just start by saying I agree with Lissandra. This thread has basically spoken one thing to me. Laziness. I do not see how it is the game's fault because you were too lazy in sorting your inventory? Too lazy to take the time needed to navigate through the lag? To me it sounds like a bunch of whining, and I'm truly sorry for stating my opinion. Everyone makes mistakes, but you need to learn from them instead of whining for a do-over. YOU take the first step.

It is the game's fault that when I clicked on Moko Grass and the clickie-animation occurred on the Moko Grass line item, that when the actual "Sell" confirmation came up, it registered as if the click occurred three lines lower, where my mouse happened to be hovering once it did finally come up.

Is it my fault for not ultimately confirming the item? Sure. But it's already taking me far longer than it should to sell off junk (also the game's fault), and doubling that time to verify that the box that comes up corresponds to the line that I know for a fact I clicked isn't appealing.

How about if they give *us* the buyback, and you just don't use it when the game causes you to unintentionally sell off a piece of high-level gear.

Haha! I have no problem with you, but man you're still whiney. You're talking to someone who bought stuff back on FFXI for 1,000x what they're going for. It makes no difference to me, it's not my real money. I once bought a stack of flint stones for 3,000,000 gil when they were selling for 3,000 gil. It was a mistake.....So I should blame SE for my mistake? No! My fault! Take the blame, kid, and please stop whining.

I'll also tell you a good story! I once bought 4 Hagun's for 500,000 gil each after an update, and later sold them back to the community for 3,000,000 gil each! Yay! Happy story!

See, where you think I'm whiney, I think you're unnecessarily elitist, and one of the people who is going to hold the developers back from making a game that will survive. It's amazing what perspective will do.

The question is, will you be buying it back for the price you sold it for or not. I wouldn't mind this being implemented if you had to pay a bit more money to get it back. Yeah, you can saying something a stereotypical FFXI player would say, I wouldn't blame you lol. I just think that you should have to pay a bit more out of pocket to get your item back. Teach us to slow down and pay attention when clearing out inventory. I've sold stuff by accident on FFXI and it sucks, but I just get over it and learn from my mistakes.

I'd say this is valid. But I'd add that in XI, the mistakes have been all me, the interface had nothing to do with it. It's a lot easier to buy the "learn from your mistakes" argument when it is, in fact, my own mistakes.

Unbelievable. Haha! I tell you straight in your face that it's your fault, and you complain to me it's not? Then another one come's in, says basically what I'm saying, and also adds a consequence to the feature you want, and you agree? Funny. This thread is dead. My negativity probably is the sole cause of it staying alive.

Did you read my first post?

Edit: I guess it was my first post in response to you. Not my first post.
