Oh, and Moose mentioned Ramuh talking about the distant past wistfully reminiscing about the time before light and darkness. So how old is he?

Well, if by my faith I made a legend real, crafted my own god, how would he talk? Just like Ramuh did. He, informed by my view of the cosmos would ramble on about creation and the ages of eternity past, because my beliefs give him those memories. I loved my interactions with Ramuh, but I'd say don't look to him to explain the past, my theory informs me that while he is wise, its only the collective wisdom of one people group. He is a manifestation of the Sylphic worldview.

I think the thing is that Silvertear Lake is supposed to be the font of aether for the realm of Eorzea, and the Agrius crashing into it with its ceruleum engines and the ensuing explosion, caused a massive release of aether.
This aether would be necessary in the creation of primals, in the same way as Louisoix created the primal Phoenix in himself after the failed summoning of the Twelve. The spoiler-y bit is the Alphinaud explains this whole thing at the end of Turn 12 where he explains how a Primal is born with the line "... And 'tis throught the combined prayers of the desperate - and an abundant source of aether - that primals are born..."
I think that what we saw with the beam of light and all of the primals shooting out of it was their (the primals') birth from the continuous pleading of their peoples and the sudden overwhelming abundance of aether.

Can anyone share me link to the video where the Agrius crashes and the alleged seal is broken?

It happens in this video, though it's the Derplander experiencing it via echo.

    Hmm....

When this seal was broken a lot of "primals" (lack of a better word) seem to have flown off in every direction. Anyone got an idea how this seal was formed in the first place?

Due to the proximity of the Crystal Tower, it could be that the Allagan Empire had a hand in it.

I'm not sure about the seal itself but from what I recall the Twelve were said to have created the lake when they created the world. It is essentially the source of aether. They were the ones that set Midgardsormr as the guardian as well. Whether this is actually true or not remains to be seen, however, and the Allagans may well have put the seal in place in order to restrict summoning.

It's worth noting that in the 2.5 trailer Midgardsormr refers to himself as our lord. He's also seemingly immortal... so it may well be true that he was created by the Twelve. He certainly isn't just a normal dragon, that's for sure.

I thought this as well, which begs the question... What the hell was he doing when the Allagans were going around playing Katamari Damacy with Bahamut? If he doesn't predate the Allagan, he certainly seems free of their influence/wasn't put there by them, OK he might not care about the Meracydian Dragons, but you'd think the Keeper of the Lake would take issue with the Allagans building a giant Crystal-Void Gate opening-Tower next door...

Maybe he was sleeping? I do like my theory that the horn featured in 1.0s Limsa storyline, which was supposedly used to wake/summon a great sea serpent, that the Ascian stole could have been used to wake Midgardsormr as the Garleans flew in in order to further their plans. The Battle of Silvertear Skies was the start of the games plot after all, really would expect the Ascians to have a hand in it somehow. Though really, even if the Keeper of the Lake was sleeping while the Allagans went about their day, why would the Allagans ignore him? They turned Bahamut into a giant space battery, you'd think they'd do something with Midgardsormr...

I do hope we get some answers from him before we get shot through the heart...

If the summoning also creates delusions within a primal, and not just attitudes and traits that may or may not come with information from the Lifestream, that opens up a strange challenge for the lore. How does the lore consumer separate foreshadowing from useless delusion that serves nothing as far as the story is concerned? Though, to go back to my growing theory that there truly are "great elemental spirits" of the six elements, facets of the Crystal's light, even a not-Elder primal like Ramuh might "remember" the First Astral Era... It's tough... Maybe we'll get a hint in 2.5... I hope...

If they do have delusions, though, I can't help but imagine Thancred working out how to create an primal-like elemental wingman.
