I'm always on DRG when I'm in this dungeon, and I'll almost always use the LB on the Guardian. One time the healer laughed at me when I did it because he had never seen it done before. I just explained that sometimes I get a group that doesn't understand the fight or whatever, and it's easier to just do it rather than die. When the dungeon was new, that was standard procedure. I just haven't gotten out of the habit.

Holy+Flare+Bard AoE= Every thing in sight dead.

Love it when I tank Quarn and Satasha HMs with that combo.

As for your derp team... I feel sorry for that Mages subordenents.

We had problems, not about killing the guardian nor Emperatriz. We did a lot of dps on the Empz and the adds spawned so fast .

Our words were "Oh holy shit" . A few aoes and they had been killed.

The little adds don't really hurt anyway even if they gang up on me as the Healer they are not really doing enough damage to worry about them i just Holy them down and they die in a couple of hits. The big guy with the club that targets somebody hurts as does it's AoE but it's easy to avoid and it doesn't have that much HP. Best thing you can do is push DPS so they all spawn and then just AoE the whole mess down. Nothing will be spawned long enough to do any real damage unless somebody stays in the AoE circles and takes the spikes.

For speed runs on this dungeon and even when I am in a roulette with random folks as a WHM I cleric stance / holy on that fight. It rips the adds apart and let's the DPS focus on the boss. When the green tether pops up that is covering the boss i'm still casting holy and dps does a quick switch to down it then back to the boss.

We don't LB this boss since AE Holy makes the encounter trivial. The damage to the group is barely enough to warrant a medica2 on the group. I will benediction the tank when he is low, but otherwise it is almost entirely nothing but Holy spam and good game. Before anyone complains.. yes I know when to swap out of cleric stance and heal my group in the odd chance someone gets hit by an AE they didn't get out of.

Save Mage LB for burning random large trash pulls like the one before the emperatiz. If you don't have a mage then LB the cover add on emperatiz if you want.

...People had a hard time with this in a full party? Hell, I 3 manned this boss when the tank dc'd with a ninja and a blm for DPS. Killed it with only 2 people dps'ing, since I was scrambling everywhere keeping the ninja tank and blm healed at something like i95.

Thing is, you had both DPS. That's what matters. This is one of those fights where it's not necessarily the healer or tank that will cause a wipe if they die or are faceroll retarded, but the DPS. Unfortunately, many DPS pick the job simply because it's unimportant, "no pressure", and they feel like they can gimp it up and nobody will notice. Here, more than anywhere else, WE NOTICE.

I've never had any trouble with this fight until the other day. Was running with a BRD who decided that the adds weren't strong enough to bother with and so would not attack any of them, just kept attacking the boss making adds spawn faster and faster. By the time the guardia add spawned I couldn't even find him in time because the other large add was still up and 4 or so little ones. BRD continued attacking the boss even though it was covered and then we wiped for my first time ever on that boss.
