those poor DPS queues

I actually remember reading that YoshiP actually has this on his docket of things to do.

I'm not sure if this is "fair" on the DPS still waiting in queue.
Well in a theme park if you like a ride you still have to go to the back of the queue after each ride. You can't just say "hey let's do it again". If you look at the server resources utilization, people next in queue are supposed to get and are rightfully entitled to that server resource (i.e. instance allocation).

In the end what does this solve? Hours upon hours of waiting for a que to pop will evenually:I'm not sure if this is "fair" on the DPS still waiting in queue.

1) People just give up on the que
2) Wasting time waiting for the que to pop ( yes you could do something else but for people that are dungeon only people will just be sitting and waiting).
As of right now, it's affecting all DPS. So we need a system that will help with this issue. This system may or may not help, but at least there will be DPS players who can keep grinding. Besides there will be quite a few people that will bail after 1 run. ( since this is a casual game for the most part, you can see people leaving after 1 or my 2 runs).
Edit: also, you have to take into account the people that make their own parties. Yes there is alot of questioning if something like this is possible, but at least this is like a starting point on which they could build off of and create something that could be of use to all DPS's.

I've cleared Shiva in a DF group 1 shot... would have been nice to have a play again and continue farming with the group cuz god knows finding people who can beat that EASY primal is pissing me off. Even my own linkshell is always busy and unable to fill the party entirely.

Over-dramatic indeed, this is cycling the same DPS over and over again while just making the DPS still in queue to wait longer.
You know that your first queue as DPS is probably going to take much longer to pop right?
Not only DPS out number healer/tank, now the DPS that got in can just keep going and not allow new DPS that have been in line to enter.
Well, sitting here doing nothing about it isn't going to bring about equality either. At least it's a rough idea. Maybe even put a limit on the amount of times you can use party again.Over-dramatic indeed, this is cycling the same DPS over and over again while just making the DPS still in queue to wait longer.

There really isn't anything that can be done about DPS queue without adding more players rolling as healers and tanks... New thread about this every other day.

Just do it like this and everything will be fine. Not bumping in front of other people in the queue making them wait longer. Party stays the same and can keep running with the same people.Wow has a similar feature that works very well. Basically, your "party" and the "instance Party" are two different groups. If you like a group that you ran with all the leader has to do requeue again and everyone gets a prompt. If they want to continue they accept, if they dont, they bow out and leave. Those that decide to stay enter the queue as a group. I would be OK with a similar system in FF14 not just for dungeons but Coil farming or even Duty finder groups that are trying to learn T9.
