FF really lost its touch after X, XI...
to be specific i was refering to cactuars, not Giant cactuars.
but, Mobs have every right to be diff sizes.... well, then make them diff sizes... make there spawn size differant every time they pop. Then we have more of a variety. More realism, instead of one mob always being the same, we are randomly fighting a member of the mobs family, which can be diff sizes and shapes. Just like us.

I'm not gonna lie that would be really cool. I like the idea of having monsters be bigger if they're stronger or having a boss type of every mob be huge, Giant Cactuar yes please.

Quite frankly, there's one thing we all can agree on: there's no pleasing all. Situation 1, half complain about too small mobs, other half is happy. Situation 2, half is happy about larger mobs, other half complains.

    unnecessary

This change, as far as I can tell, was not needed, nor wanted. At least not from the english speaking community. It serves no purpose whatsoever, aside from reducing realism.

How is this "ease of play"?

    They're bigger than the NMs...
holy crap those are some giant frogs.

Edit: Most of the resizes were fine but when they're big enough to clip into terrain or make it difficult to see they might need to be toned down a bit.

also maybe skeletons shouldnt be bigger than people.

I guess some lalafell tanks are having issues targeting some of the resized mobs...I personally feel that mob size is fine the way it is and should remain as such...but shoud have more mob diversity. instead of rats outside the main city, have weak beastmen monsters dropping trash gear and low amounts of gil that the new player could use in their solo'ing

As a Roegadyn, I prefer the mobs to be bigger. I feel silly slapping bugs with a spear and them not falling over instantly, unless they're unnaturally large.

Also, if it's a normal sized beetle...how come Farmer Bob has to contact the Adventurerer's Guild to come stop them? He couldn't just whip out some Raid and be done with it?

    tiny mobs suck.

play ffxi there are a few tiny mobs.

the chigo in ffxi are in the mire. Ther are tiny black dots that hid, you can't get past them. Their names don't appear abd you can't see them well. Not fun getting the staging points and not seeing a tick. Also puks in ffxi are again tiny. And are hard to target in ffxi. Even the tiny tiny ones in abyssea. Sorry but I like the large size toads. It makes me feel like i'm in a dangerous fantasy world of japanese myth. Watch spirited away, most of the spirits are huge. Look at inuyasha.. GIANT WILD DOG DEMONS.

Least I can't miss them. I saw what the rats look liked before..... cute but..... if I wanted to fight cute id play maple story or another game where you fight cute pink anime chibi poop. (i forget what it was called.) I want to fight MONSTERS not critters. If you want realism play two worlds2 you got cheetha and babboons that throw rocks at ya.
