As i said over there, it sounds like they want to limit "mastering" a craft to 1
that doesnt nesisarily mean you cant max out the levels in each

Well it will be silly to get a class to rank 50 and not be able to master it. Its still limiting it and SE has not limited us for DoW DoL or DoM yet so why DoH?
The thread can stand stand. i can change it to master if you want but i think you get the point.
well lets look at a few facts
yoshi wont delevel crafters, so those of us with tons of 50s wont lose anything if its a level thing
leveling to 50 doesnt mean anything if you cant synth everything because only "masters" can do so
so someone who is a master blacksmith, can do master recipes, but cant do master recipes for lets say...alchemy
but they can still do the regular recipes.
theres also the fact we will see level caps in the future, and perhaps you have to specialize to go higher up? who knows
but as it stands now, they said its a low priority so i dont think they know how they even wanna approach it when the time comes, and they arent even worrying about it at al(If it even happens at all)

its following the same path as ffxi did, i think this deserves all the attention atm.well lets look at a few facts

bad mechanic is a bad mechanic.
basically when cap is raised you can only take 1 craft class higher than 50.is exactly the approach they took in 11.I can live with it but is just an excuse to make people pay more for the already free game.
Im working on BSM and GLD. if i have to choose one class AFTER i leveled two classes i will be pissed. I rather know NOW which side they are gonna choose before i rank a craft up.well lets look at a few facts

i ranked up crafts for almost a year then BOOM SE says "hahaha your GLD can not do what other GLD can do even tho you spent the same amount of time ranking it up the other guy did".. is that not a little silly?

you do realize that 50 won't be the cap forever, correct? The "master" craft will probably come in after the cap increase.Im working on BSM and GLD. if i have to choose one class AFTER i leveled two classes i will be pissed. Healer strike is ridiculously foolish and accomplishes nothing
of course. point is when rank cap is 75 can my rank 50 GLD repair rank 75 gear? the answer is simple "i wasted my time ranking up crafts to repair my gear since i can not repair it anymore" it makes my second craft completely useless.
This completely changes the game and it completely says i wasted my time. If the rank cap increases i want to rank up all my jobs and thats more then one craft.

like I said, chill and think. Due to the repair system, I doubt they will limit what you can and cannot level to max rank. There are different ways to "master" a craft than by leveling it to max. Chances are, you will still be able to level all crafts to max rank so that you can still repair any set of gear that you may own, but you won't be able to make certain items nor use certain crafting abilities. Again, chill and think. There are more ways of doing this than just what you keep telling yourself that they are doing.of course. point is when rank cap is 75 can my rank 50 GLD repair rank 75 gear? the answer is simple "i wasted my time ranking up crafts to repair my gear since i can not repair it anymore"

I agree this is pure speculation. However, if SE is planning on limiting mastering a class, they should truly limit classes. For example, whatever arguments can be made for only mastering 1 class can equally apply to DoW and DoM. If you can only master one class, make people pick what class they will master.
Of course this will never happen. It would be ridiculous!
Everyone who is ok with limits should place themselves in our shoes. How would you feel if SE told you, you could only master 1 DoW class? or 1 D0M class?
I play 5 classes. BTN, CRP, TAN, ALC, & ARC. To me, my ARC is my support class. I only started lvling it because I was pissed off that mobs were blocking my logging nodes.
To me, the whole game is my BTN, CRP, TAN, & ARC. I do not want to pick one DoH to master.
This is exactly how I hope they do it, they can release a quest line to increase your craft rank above 50 (when they go that route) and for the time being they can have "master synths" which allow specializations to be introduced sooner then when lvl cap goes up.well lets look at a few facts

I am 100% in favor of limiting your crafts as long as it still provides a benefit for the ppl who already have multi rank 50 crafts now.
