Once physical levels are gone, will racial stats start to matter?

Currently, the racial differences in starting stats don't really matter, because it's so easy to change them with physical bonus points. The downside of this system was that physical stats almost had no effect at all.

1.19 will change this, and smaller differences in physical points will, according to the developers, matter more. I wonder what this will mean to the poor Lalafel Gladiator (low VIT), Miqu'ote Marauder (low STR), or Dark Elezen Thaumaturge (low PIE)...?

You do realize that Seeker of the Sun have 1 less str than Roegadyn right? along with one less vit and 5 more base dex.

With that said, the chances of the racial stats being enough to make any real difference in fights are slim to none.
