I think this is a very valid question. It's just silly you can't!
I don't feel there is any imbalance if 2 people can acquire more than one, it's like saying "Why can an FC acquire more than 1 person!?", well the answer is so obvious it's silly.

In regards to divorces, there could be a system where both have to accept an agreement to split and destroy the house. That is more than fair.

That I'd never agree to because I bought and decorated my entire house(it's at max items both indoor and outdoor). There is no way in hell I'd risk that much of a gil loss just to allow my parter access to my house. Never. Ever.

They just need to align it similar to have the FC house works. The person whom bought it is the owner, and can give permissions about what can and cannot be done to the house by other residents. The bond partner would be considered a resident so they can teleport there and access whatever was permitted by the owner. If the owner decides to remove a resident it's no different than an FC leader removing an FC member in regards to the house.

This is pretty much what I want, and honestly I wouldn't be opposed to allowing this sharing scheme to all personal home owners to do whatever they want. Be it roomates, de facto linkshell guilds, role play, etc.

No logic provided, you are not even weighing the cons against this, why should those who dont want to get married be at a disadvantage to those that do, 2 vs 1 here in terms of gil aquisition.

Please provide actual detail reasoning instead of that trash.

That doesn't seem very fair to me if one person bought the house then chose to share it.

Yeah, no. I just wouldn't be sharing my house.

This has been happening long before marriage. I know some that started their own FC so they as a couple in game could own a house.

Anyway you say that its 2 v 1 for people who don't wanta get married in earning money since when does owning a house earn you money. I understand it if you sell the house it'll earn money but then the owner would be getting the money not the person who shares the house. So I think this 2 v 1 is in valid.

I can think of 1 thing to say here... irony.

There is no disadvantage that is not already in game. 2 vs 1 gil acquisition.... lol.... really?

Me and my wife pooled both of our money so she could purchase the house in the 1st place on release. It's the same idea as with guilds asking members to pool their money together to purchase a guild house except you and your spouse have the same access as an FC, just with 2 people instead.

People already have FC's with 1 or 2 people and if those 1 or 2 people can afford a house... what's the difference. You are going to complain that couples should not be able to share a house when all you need is 1 person in an FC with enough money (and timing) to own a house. heck, if that person played the marketboards at all they may have enough money for 2 or even 3 houses which they could own using multiple accounts. It takes 30 seconds to make a trade with money.

But what I think what Raelgun is saying in a very hostile way is why should it be limited to those married, why cant it be couple or roommates or something similar?
