Dungeons: level caps?

the thing is the purpose of a dungeon is to be DIFFICULT! you should not be able to just run through and farm gear so you have it for your other classes, you may not need it for your R50 sure but you have lower ones im sure that might need gear from there eventually.. and then you end up just having the best gear when leveling it because you are able to farm the crap out of the dungeon for it without even an effort.. it ruins the rarity of any sort of gear and makes them more of a novelty at some point

You can just do it on a lower level class, then? There's no reason to restrict other people especially with the game heading into the "give everybody options to play how they like" route.

Maybe they could reduce the rank temporarily as well so even people who don't have a r30 class can do those dungeons. Shouldn't be that hard to implement.

it is supposed to be difficult, in your opinion. Even at rank 30, I don't find this dungeon to be that difficult, but due to the timer restriction, it is near impossible to farm the entire dungeon. If I'm going for completion, I'll go r30, but if I'm just there to farm gear, going as a r30 class is just a waste of time. Honestly, you sound extremely jealous, which is cool, but when you just want to farm the dungeon, switching down to a lower class is, again, just a waste of time. Would you want to be forced to kill the r30 NMs as a r30 class? How about, in FFXI, would you want to be forced to run Dynamis at 65? What about having to farm their NMs at the appropriate NM levels? It is just a horrible idea and should not be implemented. Low level players have their content and high levels have their content. High level players shouldn't be penalized because of lower levels. Before someone "But CoP had restrictions!," these dungeons are not part of the main story of any expansion...they are more along the lines of side quests.

the dungeon was meant to be mid level content, level capping it doesnt help the mid rank players, it only punishes the high rank players
if you dont want a rank 50 in your party for something, dont invite him, pretty simple

Then there's really no point of that dungeon being in the game in General.. because I don't see many people doing it because everyone would rather do Darkhold back every is higher ranked now....

For once, I actually agree with TheVedis...having a level cap on the r25 dungeon will divert even more players away from it. If I want 1 piece of armor from that freaking dungeon, I'm not going to go and waste my time as a r30 class, farming just 1 tunnel at a time to find that gear. NO! I'm going to grab a group of 3 other r50s and we are going to split farm the dungeon and get a full clear with more chest drops than if we were to just do it as r30s. More chests = more gear = the possibility of getting the gear that I want.

why should it matter what a rank 50 does in a 30 dungeon?

the people who are 30 wanting to use it for mid range content are still doing that

you really think they are invitng 50s into their SP parties in there?
