Option to price items in the free company chest.

Just as the title indicates was wondering if we could get free company chests to act as mini market boards as you will with the intention of building free company funds. Basically allow the option to price items in the chest that can't be removed until the gil amount is paid to the company bank.

Taking it a step further perhaps players may have the option of putting their items up for sale in the free company and when the item sells a percentage is kept by the company bank as a "tax" while the rest is paid out to the player.

This idea I believe would open up a whole new market allowing free companies to grow and flourish, maybe even diminishing heavy undercuts on the market boards? I think the possibilities are endless.

Why not just ask members to donate before they take items?

Why is it so important that the items you made are bought by your FC mates and not by anyone else (aka Retainer)? Just sell stuff on retainer, and put the gil in the FC bank. That's what I do and anyone else does, I believe. FC chest is to share things with other members. You know, for free...

You are absolutely right, but would it hurt to have the option to sell to your own company maybe even at reduced rates than the market boards? True at this point there are possible exploitations that could be taken advantage of but as I'm not a square enix employee I don't think it should be my job to develop counter measures? But rather suggest ways to improve the game on a positive level.

I don't know, with how limited the storage is in the FC chest as of now, I'd hate to see all the slots occupied by some money-thirsty merchant who wants the FC chest for himself to work as a 5th retainer to sell stuff faster. I'd prefer to be able to use those slots to put stuff I want to share for free with my FC members (dyes, seeds, food, minions and crafting materials that cannot be found by vendors such as leathers and dungeon drops is what we use ours for, for example, as well as furnishings for people to exchange between each other's room). If I really want to sell something for cheaper to an FC member, I'll just meet them for a trade, or tell them to look up my retainer name in the market board.

To me it just seems an easier way to find rmts and people that purchase gil. Looks mighty suspicious if u join a free company make a lot of gil and then leave right after. Especially if you have a free company already. I'm no expert but it looks like square watches the Gil pretty carefully so anyone associated with an rmt free company under this system seems like easy prey for a suspension/ termination if you ask me.

I'm not sure what you are talking about, your idea, or my suggestion to just use trade? I have never changed free company (nor made my FC mates pay for anything I've made) so I'm not really understanding your statement.

space is limited no doubt and maybe that's something the development team can fix, but here I leave you some of the "pros" to having a system like this implemented: building FC funds, creates a new market allowing the real market some breathing room, creates positive incentives between members in your free company meaning your crafting and gathering player base has a way of supporting your raid members and vice-versa, are your members gonna undercut each other? (Hope not lol), convenience: company chest at the house and starting cities, currently there are no taxes if you pay into your free company bank, list probably goes on but those are a few.
