Yeah...one of them is like almost 10 times as big as the other.I like the racial stats how they are. They're different, but not different enough to make a substantial difference the way they were in FFXI. I like that Plainsfolk Lalafell have slightly higher physical stats, while Dunesfolk have higher magic stats. The difference is only 1-2 points, but it's still there, and that's kinda cool.
Yes. Problem?
XP remains the best teacher
Well, can I have a boat that doesn't use water to travel?
Edit:
Seriously, I'm taking lore & or fantasy into consideration.
Not that it's mentioned anywhere that a roegadyn is an almighty power creature...but,
Wouldn't a lalafell be like "I'd rather fight a mid-size hyur than one of those roegadyn's!"?

It doesn't even have to be centered around size... I mean in the Ul'dah scenario you have two bad-ass super strong lalafell miners. Each race has a couple of sub options, and really... I've never seen an mmo that had multiple races with racial differences that were so prohibitive as to completely rule out playing certain classes.
And before people start complaining about melee taru in FFXI, nuts to you, I knew plenty of taru that were great paladins and warriors.
Its called an airship...
On topic, I dont want racial stats as well, I dont want to be in a scenario where you dont get invited to a party or something because your a mage and a galka. (I would have used Roegadyn as an example except one of the Roegadyn races was good at magic)
Lessee...
if I don't stand corrected when Physical will be no more, stats allocated will represent the current class, so I imagine that for every class there is a stat allocation.
If that's so, then it'll be like Physical stats, but you no longer base stats allocation to your Physical level, but to your Class rank (which will become Level)
So no, I don't think there'll be that enormous change.
no racial stats, ty

That, and my roe path companion looks spiffy in his wizard's hat and pirate talk.
Besides, it would make more sense that the races have their own fighting styles of weaponry. Like the difference between western quarterstaff and eastern bojutsu, or the "gun". The only reason lnc has throwing spears was because they incorporated it from the armies of other countries.

I know that's an airship
What I'm trying to say is since we're all fantasy only here,
Why not let us breathe some other mystical phenomenon instead of air
I didn't think there was a problem with just a tad bit of tangible realism that affected traits in our characters.

Short does not mean weak, If lalafells were called "dwarves" we wouldn't be having this discussion.I know that's an airship
