My Hyur Highlander is the Shiznit, so I won't be changing it, but they should at least give out a new free Fantasia with this release just so we would be able to try the new Au Ra Character options out. You always want to see what your changes look like with your current gear, not beginner gear.

They might change the job gear on character creation to the level 60 AF gear coming with Heavensward.

Idk if I'll swap to Au Ra or not because male Au Ra just look like angrycat to me. But I am very curious to play with their character creator!

I'll be changing to Au Ra. I'm excited for it along with all three new classes. I personally don't like any of the races we have now and I was a FFXI player for 10 years.

I have one last Alt slot open. Will make them an Au Ra. Me? Oh, I'm staying Elezen, but am going for Dark Knight. I still have my 2 free Phantasias, so perhaps I'll test out the male Au Ra version of my Elezen for a week before going back to my normal appearance. We shall see.

As far as pictures go, here is the colour scheme I'm hoping to accomplish:



Note that it will require colouring the bones/scales w/e on the Au Ra. My friend and I have speculated that they may not let us colour them. I'm hoping this is not the case.

I need to go home and download gimp or something to give this a try. Adding a red tint to the Au Ra's skin, and adding a green tint to the scales. The green I'm looking for is the same green as my facial tatoo, which is what the diagram is supposed to be displaying.

Whilst I'll probably dabble with an Au Ra in character creation I'll be sticking with my Lalafell. I can only play short characters in MMOs (they make the world feel so much bigger and have an illusion of faster movement) and a Lalafell Machinist just sounds awesome!

Probably going to end up switching my roegadyn alt to Au Ra, really don't like the roe animations and the (short) glimpse we got of the Au Ra at the last fanfest seemed promising.
