Bots on Balmung....

I saw bots all blm all over the last week or so on Ultros always in the same spots. I saw probably 50 or more queuing for dungeon runs. IF I see them why cant SE...

2 things:

1: Not to white knight PCs that are most likely bots, but if SE talk to them and they respond they cannot prove automation is taking place. Things like pos hacking can be proven, but not automation.

2: SE's STF don't action on a case by case basis, they build up a picture of the network, following the gil/shards till they have identified *all* the players including buyers, then mass-ban them all.

If someone's moving around with an afk icon by their name I'm pretty sure they're a bot. That icon disappears when there's user input.

In that case, it might fall under #2: the STF can use that bot to track a whole RMT operation.

If you want to get these guys before they get to the farming phase, go to thm guild, from time to time I see several thm in generic gear show up and pos hack from one npc to the next to progress their quests. Worst I saw was 5 at once, teleporting all over the guild.
