You have to be fully ready for tank jobs so that you don't come across any such challenges. All the best^^
Why would he level a DPS job to farm for soldiery? For longer queue times? That really doesn't make any sense to me. Most of OP's problems can be solved immediately by other people not being utter dicks. Of course, we all know that's not really going to happen, so he may have to endure a bit longer while he gears up. I know the first thing I do when I queue up as a DPS is to look at the tank. If the tank is significantly less geared than me, I really try not to take aggro, but ultimately I also have to prepare myself for the possibility that despite my best efforts I may end up tanking some of the mobs. I have defensive skills and I'm not afraid to use them. Luckily, I often queue with a healer friend when I'm on a DPS job (or vice versa, I go healer when a friend is on a DPS job) so we communicate and help the tank out as best we can. There's no reason to tear down a newer player for being unable to hold hate due to simply being less geared than yourself. It's shameful.

@OP - ST is a really good suggestion. You'll have to get through CT to unlock it, though. In both cases, there are other tanks that can handle the heavy lifting so the fact that you're undergeared shouldn't be a problem at all. Get that left side geared up (so you can take more hits), and get your weapon upgraded as well (so you can hold more hate). You might think about one of the soldiery weapons until you can work more on your relic. Don't take it to heart when people tear you down. It's their problem, not yours. As long as you're doing everything to the best of your ability, just keep doing what you're doing. Let people know you're new. A lot of us are more than willing to work with you and make the experience good instead of completely miserable.

My Advice is to go to Reddit and look at indepth WAR guides you've picked the most unique class in the game to attempt good work
    few suggestions
1, Inner beast is a defensive CD not a hate CD if you want to build hate you use Steel Cyclone
2, Hunting is a good way to achieve a quick I110 most/some of the Soldiery gear was BiS for Tanks
3, You need to remember that many of these people you're encountering have done these dungeons over and over think of it like work the quicker it gets done the quicker you go home have a beer and relax.

You are right about those people, unfortunately we cant change it except react in the most convenient way any of us may find. My suggestion may be a long term solution but the result is much lesser headache for OP. Even though actions like flash or others that increase enmity may be useful but I believe tanks basic job has a great deal with ilvl too, perhaps a matter SE may look into it. I agree that CT and ST is excellent suggestion but for ilvl80 dungeons or trials it may be challenging.

I hope you're kidding lol. Those two are so easy, you just need to read a basic guide or take 10 min to watch a vid and yada yada you can get carried in no time, even if you make mistakes. After a couple runs it's easy as pie to remember mechanics.

You can do 3 Syrcus runs in under an hour easily and rack up the head/chest/legs/hands/feet part + oils, sands & UAT. Plus the Soldiery & Poetics. There is really no faster way to get geared with no effort unless you get into a hunt LS and farm those, but using Allied Seals to buy soldiery gear is kind of a waste of Allied Seals; even though I did that to get fully decked in 110 gear in a week. On my first class at lv.50

He said the i80 dungeons may be difficult. Not CT/ST. There is no other tank to carry you in 4 man content.

I always appreciate it if someone just says they are a lower ilvl so they will be doing small pulls. Being honest I would hope most people respect that and follow your lead as tank.

i86 is a nice place to start doing Syrcus Tower grinds. There are nice i100 drops that will suffice until you unweather all soldiery gears for i110. 30 runs a week will cap your poetics, as well as giving you a healthy 1500 sol on the side.

It is super easy and relaxed except for the first boss, Scylla, that requires a little more coordination.

When I got the 50 WAR I really felt it... Felt it so hard that I dropped the game for almost 4 months. It, plus I had to finish my master's degree.
Now I'm back, but I'm having a hard time trying to remember how to do a lot of things in the game and how to help my party to survive. I'm lucky that most of my teammates has epic gears. =P

Searching I couldnt find a good guide to "level 50 tanks". Someone knows a good one? =\
