Hypothetically:

The basics would be off-tanking skeleton adds with a 2nd MRD while DPSing Batraal full-time, and ignoring the northeast terminal. Skeletons could be tanked on one side of the ranged group while Batraal is tanked on the other side. The ranged group could alternate between AOE bombing the skeletons and single-target DPSing Batraal/healing. Most likely the final skeleton group is not killed.

That could be way off, but it makes sense in my head. I'm sure once Mog or Richard complete it they'll share.

There's not -that- much to the Bartaal fight, and there's even less that would speed it up.

-AEing skeletons on top of Bartaal would be one of them that would be fairly easy with 2 MRD as shown in their set up, since Bartaal would take the damage also.
-Or tanking a set number of skeletons the entire fight (8, 5, or 3)
-Or saving the 2 skeletons from P2 to be AE'd with the 3 from P3. (since MRD should take more damage in P2 than in P3, meaning getting to P3 as fast as possible is optimal)

There's not -many- possiblities, and all of them are possible. Though as I posted earlier them not even wanting to post 5 seconds of their kill to show timer can only really mean 2 things (if vital information is in that 5 seconds). Position of Bartaal in relavence to ghosts/blue circles, and if skeletons are alive or not.

There's honestly not much else you can do in the fight other than Bartaal position, and how you deal with the skeletons.

the very last moment of our video shows possible strategy. Figure out strategy to kill on your own guys! You get get your own respect by figuring it out and it's more enjoyable that way.
This dungeon system has been fun, and a huge part is figuring out things on your own. This whole theory thread has been tons of fun, and got us to do so many runs trying everything !

it's not really a "new" or "inventive" strategy at all. people have done 30 minute batraal kills 3 days ago and now you are just shaving off 5 minutes. quickstride at all the right times, skip all lights/chests you need to and get to batraal. 5 DPS and 3 healers for batraal will make the kill go faster.

We just had a kill @ 32:44 with a GLA tank.

Just want to say thanks for this thread altogether.

Our group also busted our butts with crazy theories as well, along with following this thread. I got screenshots of some of us spamming emotes on those damn lanterns! lol We really did do everything we could think of, as well as stuff you all thought of.

We even went old school Zelda and Final Fantasy style where you walk along every wall trying to find the one wall where you can walk through! we pretty much did that too on the whole dungeon lol!

Then last night there was talk about the lower rank dungeon and "time", and hearing about the JP linkshell doing it in fast time as well.

So we went with mega strategy to get there fast and kill batraal fast, and bam! chest was there! Just having that chest there was a huge feeling of accomplishment!

And that is what I want everybody to achieve. The feeling and respect of figuring it out feels great.

So I really hope you all continue to do your best and figure out fast kills strategies!

1) our first run started @ 1:00PM EST, so roughly a little over an hour ago and no, you're correct, we didn't clear our first attempt TODAY in 35:00 - but why does this matter?
2) Semper Fidelis is not the only LS on rabanstre who has gotten the 4th chest, and our confirmation came from a JP friend in the other LS that got it.
3) why do I have a reason to troll or lie? I'm not the one hording information on 2 R/EX weapons.

It is 100% kill batraal with 35:00 or less on the clock. You will see it soon enough

yup I sure was. I was dead set on discounting all other speed clears past 30 minutes because I actually thought SE would have came up with a better final chest condition. Pardon me for setting my expectations too high =/

I guess I could see it being possible if one MRD tanked batraal while the other handled all the adds with a mage? Is a MRD handling multiple skeletons possible?
