so i completed totorak in under 30 and didnt get 5th chest. im assuming its under 20min run like i read earlier in this thread. has anyone done a confirmed batraal kill in under 20 mins? i read that some japanese players did a run with 38~40 but thats not really a confirmation....

You have to wait before killing Shaula, she'll spawn two suitors, if you don't kill them before you kill her you won't get the last chest.

Hint: The pop condition for the 4th chest is the exact same as Toto-Rak.

I doubt it is -this- condition? Or maybe it is? Or was akumutensai talking about another 5th chest?

Batraal chest pop conditions:

Chest 1: Open the Chocobo Stables and Kill whats inside (not sure if you HAVE to kill everything, or just open the door.)
Chest 2: Open the Drake Room (and get the chest?)
Chest 3: Get all Chests
Chest 4: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
Chest 5: Kill Batraal.

Oh . . . for toto-rak it was killing the suitors. The eyes seemed fairly analogous to those.

I'm a little confused by this because I've gotten the 5th chest in toto-rak not only on Shaula but on the other 2 bosses who don't have suitors to be killed during the fight. That's why i was sure it had to do with the time limit. So is it just that you have to kill all the other spawns during the boss fight before killing the boss? I guess it's possible we did this in toto-rak without realizing it...

Didn't someone say in another thread that Totorak's Time Condition was clearing it in *20*(!) Minutes? Yikes. So if it's the same, that would mean clearing Dzemael in 20 minutes or less?

because its a time condition that is below 30 minutes ^ ~ ^ (it's the same as toto-rak) and no it's not impossible.
