Paladin/Scholar seem's to me to be a great combo, since SCH's spells are about mitigating some damage, but not all, and PLD is all about defense. Just my two cents.

Stoneskin takes damage mitigation into account. The damage it reduces is based on the eHP of the target, not their raw HP. So, SS is equally good on both WAR and PLD. (Same with SCH shields.)

Example: If a WAR with 12500 HP (eHP: 12500) and a PLD with 10000 HP (eHP: 10000/0.8=12500) both have Stoneskin up (WHM, so 18%), and then they're both hit for 5000 damage, the WAR with her 2250-point Stoneskin shield will wind up with 12500-(5000-2250) = 9750 HP (9750 eHP). The PLD with her 1800-point Stoneskin shield will wind up with 10000-(5000*0.8-1800) = 7800 HP (9750 eHP).

Now, while Stoneskin is equally good on both WAR and PLD, WARs have a ~4% healing penalty over PLDs. (WARs get +25% max HP and +20% healing, while PLDs get -20% damage. Doing out the math puts them at the same eHP, but heals work ~4% better on PLDs since WARs healing bonus is less than their HP bonus.) This is mitigated by WARs having a bunch of self-heals, while PLDs have none (cross-class cure doesn't count). That, in turn, is mitigated by PLDs having more damage reduction cooldowns and enhanced Convalescence (healing boost cooldown). It's totally true though that WARs are better at AoE threat generation, which is good for handling over-healing WHMs, but PLD AoE threat generation recently received a really nice buff putting it closer to WARs.

Also, since SCH shields are also affected by damage mitigation, they're the same on WAR/PLD. The SCH uber-heal works off max HP, but ignores all healing bonuses/penalties. This makes it heal the same amount of eHP on WAR and PLD (though it does ignore the ~4% reduced eHP healing that WARs suffer).

Generally speaking, SCH does more DPS against bosses than WHM (WHMs are better at DPSing trash due to Holy) and WAR does more DPS than PLD (but PLDs have more passive defense due to their off-hand shields, but since you can't both block and parry, the shield isn't that much of a buff).

In short, PLDs and WARs are very, very similar in effect. They're very different in flavor and in how you play them, but in terms of effectiveness and combos with WHM/SCH, they're practically identical. Of course, it's totally fine to prefer one combo over another (I like WHM+PLD myself because they have the best emergency skills (with long cooldowns - SCH/WAR get weaker versions with much shorter cooldowns) and I feel safer that way), but mechanically and mathematically, there really isn't one combo that's better than another as far as I know.

Yes, bard's Battle Voice tooltip has a similar translation error too so it definitely happens; considering these errors have been around for at least a year, I'm surprised they haven't been fixed by now... The English team are usually at least good at going back and fixing things when they are pointed out.

Related to the main topic of this post though, I belatedly thought about something else: I would recommend not actually pairing a healer and tank combo. They definitely work well together and are great for queue times, BUT if you are trying to ultimately minimize the time you spend leveling, it would make more sense to have one of you level a DPS alongside the other's tank or healer, and then switch off. If you level tank and healer classes together, ultimately (if you plan to level everything to 50), you'll be stuck leveling two DPS classes together at some point, and that will suck. XD I traded off with a friend while leveling DPS and healer classes and it saved soooo much time.

By the way, you should come back and tell us what you picked!
