Oh oh I don't think it's been said but I'd love to have a bard or something that would replay my cutscenes for main story missions. I loved that about FFXI. I'd frequently re-watch them in order just to re-live the experience.

Exactly what I was going to mention, Marta =) I loved being able to rewatch old cutscenes in XI and was really hoping we'd get that option again down the line. Especially since I'm finally upgrading this old pc and would love to see those scenes again properly with better graphical settings hehe.
Oh oooh!
I miss my rabbit / mandragora costume belts from FFXI.
Kinda like a coblyn costume belt in FFXIV thou, or a miteling with emotes lol
I used to be Noomy...then i took shiva's Hail Storm to my knee...
Beastmaster
that is all bai!
Crafting system with depth and the need to plan your farming routes also it was nice to just quickly sell things at the AH for what you KNEW was the right price.

I miss how the nations used to be able to claim territories, I miss my mog house, I miss the travel system, I miss the LEVEL SYNC, I miss how the community seemed a little less hateful, I miss the simple little 'books' they put at camps to give parties goals besides just flat grinding, I miss how you didn't have to wait 36 hours between taking those quests, I miss raising and racing Chocobos, hell I even miss gardening.
I guess I'm one of those people that just expected that all of the fun unique ideas about FFXI would be carried over into FFXIV. It is as if they they took years of experience and for no good reason started from scratch.
In terms of gameplay, XIV feels more like the predecessor and XI was the game they made when they had a clue.
The End.
