I think they're fine the way they are. If you want a race without a huge discrepancy in size between males and females, most of the existing races already fit that bill. Heck, there's almost no difference in size between Lalafell males and females.

Clearly being an American stereotypical fantasy with blonde, tan, blue-eyed catgirl is vastly superior to Asian stereotypical fantasy, amirite?

I don't know. I'm not a big fan of Deviant Art or Advent Children (oh man that movie was AWFUL), and I think the new race is the most amazing by far, sooo. Maybe it has broader appeal than currently believed. I can't wait to stop playing a miqo'te.

The dimorphism between Au Ra genders is barely more than that of Roegadyn, so I don't know why people are losing their minds. I think both the male and female Au Ra look really great, and as others have mentioned, the examples they've shown aren't necessarily the tallest or even necessary the mid point of size for both.

Males exemplify the physical fury of dragons, while the females play up the arcane mystery of them. So... so what? I think what would have been lazier would be female Roegadyn with horns, which is what some folks apparently want? Sounds likely to be even less popular than what we currently are getting, which is actually something a lot of us want.

They should have split it like they did Hyur, and made the magic-based clan cute, while the physical clan looks like can actually lift something heavier than a knife

Amen. Also the OP isn't saying they don't like cute looking girls, they are simply saying the females should be taller. Does taller equate to not being cute ? The option should be there for those who wish to be taller or shorter not force everyone to have short characters.

I personally hope they can be shorter than Miq'ote. But as someone else mentioned in the thread I generally hope they have a bigger height variance option than other races do, or they simply increase the allowance on it for other races (taller for lalas, shorter for others).

Lalafells are overall my favorites but it's pretty much a well-known fact by now that armor models suffer frequently in design and details on the small size of lalafells.

Yes, but they are still relatively cutesy. Nor are they that much taller than the other races.

So yea, at midpoint they do have a large size discrepancy, which is fine, because that's a thing that happens.

This may be the first humanoid race in game that *can't* have a female taller than the shortest male.

You will be able to make a taller Au Ra. I am guessing the showed the average height one. My miqote is the tallest and I noticed I am usually bigger then most other miqote girls since they picked the shorter options. When I switch to Au Ra I probably would pick the tallest option again. The race does appeal to me I always wanted to play a girl character that was part dragon but had more human features, so looking mostly human and having a dragon tail and horns is pretty cool I thought. Can't wait to see the different customization options.

I hope they keep the Au Ra exactly as they showed them off. I liked them and would really hate it if SE changed them just because a few people on the forums dislike cute-looking girls.

I hope they acknowledge bothsides and Au'ra have the greatest height options in character creation where you can have a female as tall as an Elezen or as short as the shortest Miqote
