"Certain seasonal goods attainable via daily quests will become available on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at 7:00 a.m. (PST)" reasonably refers to items that aren't available prior to Wednesday, December 24.. i.e. new items that weren't being sold since the start of the event. Else, why state that they'll "become available" on Wednesday (since that strongly suggests they won't be available before that date)?I think you were mistaken OP... In the text you listed it says:
"Certain seasonal goods attainable via daily quests will become available on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at 7:00 a.m. (PST). "
These certain seasonal goods were mainly the snowman minion and the gift bag that takes three stones to get. Think about it; you needed to do the dailies and get three different stones each daily to get these minions. Top that on with how difficult it is to find some of the trees because certain people in wards get to pick which tree they want to put up. If you chose to avoid the three player provided trees, you could just get the green variety of stone; but then since the event started till just today you HAD to get three different stones for those two specific items.
These certain seasonal goods have just been made easier to get is all.
On top of that; all you see on that event page is what is offered through the event. There were NO other items on that list that aren't already on the vendor therefore there were no extra items. The text doesn't even say "New Items will be made available." It only says that certain items only available if you do the dailies correctly will be changed.
If they simply meant to state that existing seasonal goods will become available through alternative means on 12/24/14 .. well, they probably should have said precisely that instead of the wording they chose. Let's not fault the players here.. they understood correctly, but the statement provided to them was flawed.

If we were not to expect new items it should have said "will become more accessible."

whats the deal no barding??!!! is it me or is the event the first to NOT compound the items from years past, so all can get them not just having to pay cash for them? seems unfair to me
Yeah, someone else will likely have the exact quote from square about that. From what I remember in the threads about this, the 1.0 stuff was a limited time thing just for the first holiday after ARR dropped and they didn't commit to keeping the old stuff when the event came around again. It's a bit meh, but given they did it only once (last year), it's not like they did this year after year and then stopped suddenly. It was just last year and it was to give ARR players a chance at the 1.0 bits. I would have preferred if they had had the vendors stay cumulative, but that's not how they're handling their event things.
If they did it 1 time or 10 before this i would think they would keep doing it instead of trying to make a buck like what they are doing with the new event after new years!!
sorry to say even if the item does nothing there are always those that collect items.....
These two get it![]()
You say moustache, I say whiskers.
We can finally feel like proper cat people!
Now, with the latest addition to the cash shop of all the old event items, I can only assume that's what they may have been referring to, which is quite lame.
