Recommend me a way to find a newbie friendly free company!

    Hey all,
What's the best way to find a friendly free company? I'm playing as a GLD and have cleared the first dungeon, however the annoying rudeness of the healer in the party was in has nearly put me off the game!

I'm a newbie to MMO's so not that great yet but I've reached the point where it feels a bit lonely to be playing solo.

I made a mistake in joining the Zodiark server (EU as I'm in UK) I think as it seems quite quiet.

Do you recommend taht I change server to a more populated one? All the Zodiark forums I've looked at seem very quiet and have very few players.

Not sure whether to skip server or wait until it gets busier!

I'm not sure about the other EU servers, but on Shiva it's pretty active with tons of friendly FC/LS. Right now I'm part of a few LS and in a nice little FC. If you happen to join Shiva look me up. Names Eden Noctis. Good luck. :3

Well, honestly a small server may be better for finding a newbie FC, if only because more of the playerbase is newer players.

That said, I encourage you to keep trying the duty finder. You run into the occasional asshole, sure, but most people are decent folk.

As far as EU servers I have no idea but Leviathan is a populated NA server. Lot's of FC's take newer players including mine.

Don't be put off by the rude people, I went through the same thing when I started tanking I either just ignored it or if it was the whole group I just left. Most of the people are nice and friendly if you like the game it's not worth quitting over a few rude people, also zodiark (EU) was launched with the release of the ps4 along with jenova (NA) and shinryu (JP) and therefore are the least populated servers. You might want to try Shiva as was recommended above or phoenix (heard this was a good populated EU server) you can also create a new character in those servers to check them out before transfering.

Hey thanks for the replies. Good point about creating a new character on another server before transferring to test it out. Somehow I never thought of that.

I guess I asked the question as there doesn't seem to be a way of finding people playing through the game for the first time easily. I wish there was some system in game enabled newcomers to match up or a player feedback system.

yeah they could implement a master/apprentice system but dont know how well it would work in ff tho and depending if they wanted to tie it in with the lore or not would be another thing aswell ;/

I'm on Zodiark as a healer and I'm pretty much brand new too. Feel free to add me and if you ever need someone to mess up with in a friendly manner I'll be more than happy to do so.

Cool, I will do. I've been trying out some free companies as well by using Lodestone to find ones with a lot of low level characters. Also leveled up Thamaturge to try the first 2 dungeons and it's so much more stress free... I think not knowing what to do in a dungeon as a tank on first attempt is a major stress! (but fun)
