While waiting for unspoiled nodes pop up, I chilling around the achievement and found the hardest achievement of Fisher that require you to catch all current Big Fish.

The reward is a Ironworks main hand for Fisher with ilvl 80. This make me wonder and realize that will the next tier for Miner and Botanist also Ironworks with ilvl 80? Since we already have Supra as 75 and currently the good one to get, maybe the next one will come out soon with some hard requirement because both Miner and Botanist haven't got much interested things to do beside new star nodes which feeling the same as old nodes. I don't do Fishing so I don't know much about them, but seeing this do make me wonder Miner and Botanist will get some kind of like this surprise soon.

I really hope they do something similar with the next tier of main-hands for all crafting and gathering classes. Having the Ironworks Fishing Rod is a true testament to your dedication to the class, and there is no way to buy, cheat, lie, steal, or get carried to it. I really hope they do something similar with the next tier of main-hands for all crafting and gathering classes. I agree with your POV. Since most of the content these days I think it was made for casual so much that the way we gotta work for it doesn't like before. And I also doubt the direct skills of Yoshi now.

No, pointing out that there is nothing of equivalent difficulty for the other gathering classes.

Looking at the way fishing is constructed it was easy coding to add big fish.

Looking at the way mining and botany are constructed the easiest way they could add something equivalent would be to add 106 rare and hidden items to unspoiled and other nodes. Items that have a 1 - 3% chance to show.

And add weather requirements too.....

Im sure I remember reading somewhere that Yoshi and co was considering making the Supra tools like the relic and having upgrades every so often, as someone who spends a lot of time as Botanist and Miner I would welcome this thou I am still on way to get getting Mammon Supra lol

Yeah they were responding to my question in the E3 Live letter when they said they were considering a relic style series of upgrades for MH tools.

Perhaps not right now, no. However! We are looking into releasing a new system to motivate both miners and botanists, but it will be somewhat different from Big Fish. This system is scheduled for some time after the expansion, but once we have some more information we'll be sure to share!

This makes me happy. I'm not a crafting person but man oh man do I enjoy my gathering, incentives are always welcome.
