Scale color looks very much tied to hair color, for both images.
I'm not saying it has to be like the Hyurs are, I'm saying i hope the differences are distinct enough to be recognizable.
While i like the lore behind the Miqo's, you can only determine the difference between tribes by zooming in fully on their face and inspecting their eyeballs. Contrast with the Mid/Highlander Hyurs and even the Roegadyns, And that is the sort of physical 'identifiable' differences I'd like to see.

Either way, i will be an Au Ra. Cannot wait for a benchmark tool to come out so i can start fiddling around and seeing what sort of options they have.

the deciding factor of this deal, which AFAIK is still unknown since none of the picture have them with their mouths open, is:

I think this' a fair compromise. I get that it could possibly 'take away' from your enjoyment of the race if some were to have scaled-faces.

However, you'll be playing a half-dragon. Opposing scaled-faces seems a bit wrong to me, under that knowledge.

As well, you already have those giant armor-like, dragonscale protrusions (someone described them as skin diseases)... this little extra touch would actually enhance their aesthetic in my opinion (rather than them feeling out of place like barnacles or tumors or something).

A lot of people cover their faces already & it'd be hardly noticeable from a distance I perceive.

I don't think it's a lot to ask really to let those who want a more dragon-like appearance have it.

Whats wrong with giving players the choice? I mean, you can still create a more human looking one if you want without ruining the fun for others.

The thing is, you'd be ruining my fun.

Adding this option would change the current aesthetics of the game where all playable races look human.
