And as far as remembering only the "good memories" goes, that's just not true. It's the very fact that there was actual danger in the world that made the game exciting and memorable!

...We just don't have that here in Eorzea. Additions like this would add a sense of danger, and adventure. Give us a reason to feel connected to the world. Give us great memories, and stories to reflect on.

"You remember that time we barely managed to escape those pirates on the boat to Limsa?"

Sounds a lot better than

"You remember when we stood around on the boat and stared at the water?"

Jake thing is you said "What if i want to afk", acting like you cant because theres no where to AFK if mobs came on.

If you go AFK in an area that has the possibility to get you killed that that is your own stupidity not the games fault, if you need to got AFK on the boat you just stay on the lower deck. You wouldn't go AFK in the middle of Mor Dhona with agro mob's around would you, no you would run to the nearest camp if it was that important that you don't die, or log out quickly. Also there is no death penalty in this so you wouldn't lose "a days worth of EXP"

The boat ride is hands down a step down to FFXI's. It's boring, no one is on it and theres no activity what so ever. Even the dock station in Ul' is so lame, wheres the small Selbina town? I realllllly think the placement is terrible and should have been implemented elsewhere where it needed to be used more often.

I'd have to agree the boat ride is boring. When there is a lightning storm its fun to watch all the lightning going off around you. There should be more things like that going on in the background. Having a monster or pirates show up every once in awhile wouldn't be a bad thing either. They would just need to make so that everyone starts below deck and put the mobs on a leash that would prevent them from going down there.

I did read that once I had made my post as you posted while I was still typing my reply, still doesn't change the fact it is true though, even if you are kidding. With all the people on this forum posting the most ridiculous things it is very hard to tell who is joking and who is not.
