By the 12!?: And now with Lore!

Fan Fiction With Hopes to Become Fan Fact.
I'm sure Square-Enix has already thought clearly through about the gods. (/sarcasm)
So in my outrageous boredom and in response to my previous guardian post which had no more room for this many characters, I nerded out and wrote some lore that goes a little more in depth the the gods relationships.

Azeyma, the Warden - Azeyma is keeper of the sun and goddess of inquiry.
Azeyma is the stern mother of Nophica and Llymlean. She often consoles Nophica in worldly matters, but usually does not give the same attention to Llymlean as she sees her as childish and immersed in her drawings. Azeyma serves her father Althyk and would do anything to please him. When it comes to her sister, Menphina she is jealous of the relationship between her and Oschon, because Azeyma’s lover Thaliak usually is too busy in his studies to have time for her.

Nophica, the Matron - Nophica, tender of soils and harvests and goddess of abundance, is the guardian deity of Gridania.
Nophica’s motherly nature grants her the title of Matron. She is an intense rivalry with Halone as she constantly must counter Halone’s destructive war-like efforts with restoration to the world. She often seeks counsel with her mother Azeyma. She has a very distant relationship with her father, as she disregards his complete quest for knowledge. Her sister Llymlean, loves to draw things she creates.

Thaliak, the Scholar - Thaliak, ruler of rivers and wisdom and god of knowledge, is the guardian deity of Sharlayan.
Thaliak seeks naught but knowledge. He is also referred to as the one who knows 1000 things. He often neglects Azeyma, and Nophica to teach and study. He is a teacher to Byregot, as Byregot wishes to become the eternal master of crafts. His daughter Llymlaen is very affectionate towards him and will bring him her drawing and maps for him to study.

Llymlaen, the Navigator -Llymlaen, watcher of the seas and goddess of navigation, is the guardian deity of Limsa Lominsa.
Llymlaen is somewhat childish, but very artistic and care-free. She is constantly drawing the things she sees, as she believes everything makes up to be one big picture. She prefers to draw the ocean because is such a mystery to all. She admires the creations of her sister Nophica and loves to draw what she creates. She often sends these drawings to her father, Thaliak in hopes that she can mitigate the stress of knowlage, as well as give him something beautiful to study. Her mother Azeyma usually disregards her so Llymlaen can often be found at the beach, crying into her sketch pad.

Halone, the Fury - Halone, mover of glaciers and goddess of war, is the guardian deity of Ishgard.
Halone is an idol to all warriors. She was granted the title mover of glaciers after she cut an Ice berg in half with a single strike of her sword. Halone idolizes her father and aspires to be as powerful as he. Her bother Byregot often crafts the weapons at her disposal, as well as rebuilds the destruction left in her wake. She became great friends with the wanderer Oschon after a chance encounter in a war-zone. Halone is in a close rivalry with Nophica, as their goals in the land’s integrity are different.

Byregot, the Builder - Byregot is the purveyor of architecture and industry and god of the arts.
Byregot, is a master craftsman. Everything he makes is considered in high value. Although he is an Artisan, Byregot believes he is not good enough, and often seeks the knowledge of Thaliak to become a better craftsman. He exclusively crafts all of Halone’s weapons, as well as rebuilds the destruction left in her and their father’s wake.

Nald'thal, the Traders - Nald'thal is the overseer of transactions and the underworld and god of commerce.
Nald and Thal are Oschons brothers, who are identical twins. As children they often spent time in the marketplace learning the tricks of the trade. When they grew older, they became master entrepreneurs and became highly wealthy. Their brother Oschon, was displeased with how greedy they became as they began to fight among themselves. Nald and Thal were eventually punish for their greed and were merged into one being known as Nald’Thal. Since, Nald’Thal has learned his lesson and keeps a close eye on those wishing to delve into the ways of commerce.

Althyk, the Keeper - Althyk is the surveyor of change and space and god of time.
Althyk is constantly at watch over time. As father to Azyema and Menphina he ensures that they are well protected. He is Nymeia’s brother and like her is constantly as work; in making sure the flow time/space is in balance.

Nymeia, the Spinner - Nymeia is the watcher of celestial bodies and goddess of fate.
Nymeia is an old woman, who never is distracted from her spinning wheel. If she ever stopped spinning the wheel, all would cease to be. She like her brother Althyk is bound by duty. Her attendant Rhalgr carries out the duties, which she cannot due to being permanently indisposed.

Oschon, the Wanderer - Oschon is ruler of the mountains and god of vagrants.
Oschon is a free roamer. He became a wonderer to escape the commercial life that he and his brothers Nald and Thal grew up in. He travels from places to place making new friends where ever he goes. His greatest friend is Halone, as they have fought many battles together. Oschon is in a Passionate relationship with Menphina, as he sends her love letters entailing all of his travels.

Menphina, the Lover - Menphina is keeper of the twin moons and the goddess of love.
Menphina is hopelessly in love with Oschon. She cooks day by day, becoming ever better in preparation for the days when he comes to visit her, so she can fill his belly-after all there is no better way to a man’s heart then by food. Her sister Azyema is utterly jealous of this relationship, although their father Althyk approves.
By night Menphina waits in the light of the two moons in hopes that Oschon will once again grace her with his presence.

Rhalgr, the Destroyer -Rhalgr, breaker of worlds, is the god of destruction and guardian deity of the now fallen nation of Ala Mhigo.
Rhalgr is the attendant of Nymeia. He must constantly carry out duties for her to ensure that fate goes according to play. His favorite part of fate; total destruction. Rhalgr will take his daughter Halone to completely lay waste to land, in a kind of bonding experience. He puts a lot of burden onto his son Byregot, who must rebuild that which was destroyed.

I would imagine SE allready has the 12 sorted out in their own way. I can't imagine them needing help in that department.

I really don't care if they know what they want or not. I wrote this out of sheer boredom and to supplement my original thread about guardian abilities. This is for your pleasure only, heck if enough people liked it, maybe they'd decide to add some elements.

I like how they were very similar to greek gods in the relationship between them before like human relationships. I'm more a nordic mythology person myself, but SE when greek city state for this game, so I'm sure the gods are more greek also. The only thing that was kind of distracting is "knowlage" is "knowledge", we all knew what you meant just a little distracting as it shows up a few times with Thaliak, otherwise very good, love the effort. Needs to be more lore in XIV regardless of where it came from, every time I'm interested in one thing in XIV's lore I'm lead to a total dead end. But for about 4 months I've been trying to not care about the lore, and it paid off since there totally changing it, for sure now I can't even invest myself in it without 2.0 coming out and seeing what the cemented lore is. I'm having fun with DC's new 52 right now, but just cause they restarted the series doesn't mean they changed the lore, especially with my favorite Bat family. Its like this, I want common elements of lore to show up in 2.0, but I can't fully dedicate myself to lore anymore like I tried to at CE release, due to not knowing what the cemented version is.
