You didn't have to thank them for anything. You just assumed something, and we know how far that gets people.
Also, the way you wrote this sounds very condescending and less like positive feedback.
kinda like "I don't mean to offend you, but __..." or "This isn't meant to be rude, but __..." If they tack on "This is meant to be positive, but __..." then they can play victim when people see through it lol.
on topic: As others have said, there was absolutely ZERO indication that any of the Gold Saucer would be in the cash shop. People jumped to conclusions, and in the end it made those people look ignorant.

I don't think that anyone was just assuming things considering the trend that we've been following for a long time, and the fact that if they didn't do it with the Gold Saucer was to simply avoid headaches with laws and age ratings (said by themselves, not by me). But regardless of the reason, I thought that a bit of feedback about a feature/content that we'll be able to play as some of us enjoy, was something good to do.
Sometimes I wonder why I post at all on these forums, as there's always someone trying to nitpick everything you say. Oh well, I already said what I wanted SE to read. Moving on.

Considering they always wait until the very last second to announce the monetized part of a feature, I wouldn't be so sure. They are right in saying that adding a cash shop option to a casino would put them in trouble, due to gambling concerns, so considering that it might be completely exempt from a cash shop simply because it's legally safer for them, no other reason. They could still find a way though, especially with the Triple Triad mobile app being F2P with microtransactions and already being linked with ARR's version. See technically Triple Triad is its own thing and the app is separate from ARR, the ARR version just happens to be on the Golden Saucer, so they kept their promise!
Guess we'll see a week or two before 2.50//2.51.

Yes! Not only will you need to pay extra to access this part of the game, but this part of the game won't even be in the game!Considering they always wait until the very last second to announce the monetized part of a feature, I wouldn't be so sure. Not if they do it a one way thing. Can transfer cards from FF XIV account to the app account, but not the other way. They can always use a cash shop in the Golden Saucer later on. ^_- I summoned the DOOM!

Huh, so gambling laws saved the day. Thanks gambling laws. Interestingly enough, the answer sounded like they had looked into making it paywalled in some way.http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...=1#post2661137

The specific law is there has to be some kind of "test of skill", which going straight to cash shop for example isn't as such - Said gambling laws killed the Mog Bonanza (Lottery) in FFXI for awhile and why you'll never see one in FFXIV.
