When did I use the word (or words related to) "hypocrite"? But I digress.
I'm just calling them out on their failure to practice what they preached. No one is perfect. I'm not calling them the devil either for their inaction on that one issue, but their inaction is nonetheless what it is.
This new SE proclaimed themselves to be more "responsive" to players, I'm holding them to that proclamation.
When software developers design their programs, they design with the needs for future adjustment in mind.
Spells available to classes, their potency values ... etc. all these will be subject to frequently change hence it's common sense to make them as easy as possible to alter - possibly easy enough that the game designers (who frequently aren't tech literate enough to mess with the game code) can alter it themselves.
Well ... it's been over a year (or at least several months) since such a request was made (not by me, I wasn't on the forums until last month). Still no action. Not even a response. My patience has began to wear thin. :/It's just as likely that the developers have made the choice not to do this because they don't want to. Like you said, how important something is is subjective. They may not view it as at the same level of importance that you do. I think it's fair to say no one doesbut that's passion I guess.
The point I'm trying to make though, isn't that you're wrong for asking for a new feature or that the feature wouldn't be cool, but you're not doing it with a lot of tact. It's the difference between "I would love to see this added, please consider it" vs. "The lack of this feature is why I'm not playing, you don't listen to your customers".
They teasing us with bullshot like,
is not helping. -_-
