So if you haven't spent the massive amounts of time grinding it out you should get a free upgrade to make it comparable and on par to everyone who did the work .... thanks but no thanks.

Kill the relic now, its nothing but a poor excuse for them not to make content.

Everything past Zenith is nothing but a means to force the experienced players to rehash old content for the 'new' players. To make it even worse, is you have to use tome stones so you can rehash the content? 13500 myth, now 6400 soldiary... You have to pay to suffer? wtf I have to grind dungeons so i can grind dungeons... Then you have to factor in the overused RNG in this game.

Perhaps if you only play one job and have no intention of playing any other job, this is 'ok' otherwise it is really stupid imo.

I would love it if the people at SE who think this is an acceptable form of content were fired, including Yoshi...

It is really sad when you think about it: 1.0 was heavily criticized for the use of cut & paste on the maps, to the extent they remake the entire game just so we do the same exact dungeon 100 million times...

The maps are not why they recreated the game they recreated it cause the game as a whole sucked not to mention if person did like it they needed a beast computer to run it.

I hope they continue the relic. I personally like gear that gets more powerful over time, my relic is the one thing that has stuck with me through all this time even if it's 'form changed'. I dislike the fact gear is generally just completely replaced, it makes it way less interesting and personally important to me. The relic is the only bit that actually has any importance to me because I keep it!

That said, I would like them to improve on what they actually put us through for relic questlines, the first part of the relic questline with beating those trials and etc. was the most interesting bit.

I'd honestly like to even see them extend an advancement system like this to gear as well so I can have pieces that I have personally made stronger and advanced rather than stuff that just becomes obselete. :\

It would be nice if they continued with the relics. The relics are the iconic weapons that have been in multiple (if not all) Final Fantasy games. They did increase the drop rate for Atma (I know a guy who refused to do the relic BECAUSE of the Atma grind, with the increased drop rate, he was able to farm all 12 Atma for his Gae Bolg in 4 hours). If they do start a new relic chain (and I get the impression that they will), they could have it where you turn in your old relic, regardless of what part of the chain you are on, so you can get started on the new relic.

I think the relic quest for 2.X should stay as-is, and a new progression weapon chain gets started. We already have the 2.X weapons revolving around the Zodiac Braves. Why not a new series of weapons that revolve around the Knights of the Round?

Oh that's not 100% what i mean. i worry too about people who work hard for their current weapon like Excalibur and feel as though it's unbalanced. I'm just worried as a player like me that they will not think about me because i can't do that.

If they allow any stage of relic turned in towards next relic line, they could possibly do something like reward you based on your completion of that relic.

Like say you get a new relic base no matter what you turn in, but you get a percentage completion of some kind towards the upgraded form of that. It would reward those who went the furthest with old relic the most, but still mostly put people onto the same step.
