I have a deep love for all healing classes, but this looks especially exciting! I absolutely love the look of the... weapon, astrolabe, thingy...?

What I'm most interested in though is what this new healer is going to bring to the table that makes them different. Either way it's going to be the first new job I level when the expansion rolls in.

I'd say it lies in the variable of their cards and reacting to the card in hand rather than follow a set pattern.

You can kinda think of it like Ninjutsu except with jutsu it's Huton for att speed, suiton for trick attack, raiton for single target, kaiton for AOe and doton for ground aoe DoT.

I imagine in Astrologist case they will be more reactive based on the card they draw, maybe in the sense that before you perform an action you draw a card and that card will effect 4-7 abilities so say you have the following You want to use cure but you want to use a stronger cure so you hope to get either the water card or the wind card however you draw the ice card. The ice card however combos well with regen allowing you to use a more potent regen when casting the next regen spell so rather than cure with the ice card you use regen and then maybe top it off with cure rather than use another card to see if you can empower your cure.

Basically I think the order of events will be you know your card before you act rather than you act and your card is revealed since then it would just be a game of chance and basically from that card you have you act in the most efficient way for combat or decide to use x ability if it's needed.
